Vending Machine Pop Costs

I heard from a pretty unreliable source (a friend) that CP was raising Pepsi Product prices up to $3.00 out of the vending machine? Any truth to this rumor?

That has been done already, it was test marketed and failed....

I barely buy anything from vending machines at CP. I usually just ask for water with ice. Since i get thirsty like every 20 minutes.

Yeah,

I know the thirsty feeling on those 85+ degree days. It's not me thats the problem, I usually ask for icewater too. It's just that my girlfriend gets spontateously thirsty while waiting in line for a ride. Then ya gotta shell out the big bucks lol. Anyone know what the price will be this year?

hopefully not 3.00 again like it was last year. i didnt even have to ask for water half way through the year because the people working the food stands already knew thats what i wanted.

I hope they learned that they piss people off when they raise the prices that high. $2.00 is reasonable for a park. $2.50 is pushing it, and $3.00 is an insult.

We don't want another vending machine riot. That would be bad.

Turkeys, the only animal smarter than man

Since they will probally rasie the entry fee, they should be nice and lower the vending prices.
Spekaing of Vending Machine Riots...I remember working Mantis when a couple of big, mean guys and some high schoolers on a field trip BROKE into our water machine in the queues. We look down from our platform and water is being passed around like candy. Needless to say, we didn't waste any time calling the police and announcing to the queues, that anyone who is stealing water would be prosecuted. Might have worked except everyone started throwing the water. Not a good idea, but we did get the people that broke into it (the high school girls went to jail). Maybe next time, they can just spend the $2.50 for water. Or just drink from the lagoon.

We had something similar, but not as bad, happen in our queues this year. It seems after refilling the machines, they either didn't lock it properly or just forgot altogether. Every person who walked by helped themselves, at least for a few minutes anyway. I think the vending guys eventually realized their mistake.

I was there that day, Brian! I didn't witness it, but some of my friends did. They said that when the looters heard the announcement, everyone started throwing the water to the nearest trash cans, and that bottled water was all over the place. I didn't know if they were making it up, but I guess not.

To me, I think that it would have been better not to make an annoucement at all, and have the people get busted when the police showed up.

You need to buy water or pop,T-shirts,ect! That helps pay for these high price coasters. If you went on addmissions alone you would get a coaster every five years, like the old days!
I think that the people staying in the hotels make up for me not spending 3 dollars on pop.

Yeah,$279 a night for a room at the Sand Castle should more than pay for any budget shortages the point may have. Along with the $5 they charge now to get a decent prize at Break A Plate.
