Vekoma in the future at CP?

Does anyone think that Vekoma will ever have a coaster at CP? I have heard that Vekomas are usually a cheaper build quality than other coasters and the ones I have been on sure felt like it. Pretty much the only Vekoma coasters I have been on are at SFWOA and Mind Erasure is a headbanging nightmare. X flight is a decent ride to me but felt rough even in its first season and i can see this ride turn very rough in like 2 years. I have never been on Serial Thriller I honestly just never had the urge too...(can't explain it) and plus people have warned me about headbaning. But back to my question with CP favoring Intamin and B&M for their awesome record breaking coasters, does anyone think a Vekoma could be built at CP? I am guessing no way with the quality that we are spoiled with at CP it would never fit in as a classic, but that is my opinion. Are there any rides at CP that are built by Vekoma?

I highly doubt it... Even though Vekoma has a flying-dutchman, I'm sure the B&M is thousands times better... after all, I hate X-Flight... I'm sure if CP was going to insert a flying coaster, they would go with B&M considering the luck they've had in the past with them.

Yes; Cedar Point's first Chewbacca-themed ride. (intended with good humor)

I would love to see a B&M hyper flyer.....with a giant verticle loop 140 feet in the air! But guess what I dont see that happening with those kind of G's your eyeballs would pop out of their sockets at the bottom of that loop! :)
Just because a ride is taller, doesn't mean it will pull more G's.

The Matrix: Reloaded!

Ummm, Hyper coasters don't loop....if they loop or are not a complete circuit or are under 200ft or are taller then 299'11" they aren't a hyper.

and i think we will see a Vekoma in the park...somewhere in the kids section! ;)

i just hope they don't get a vekoma boomerang clone. i think we have enough of those in the world! that and i hope it is a kiddie coaster if it is vekoma, they make pretty decent kiddie coasters!

Edited cause was uber tired lol yeah even perfect people make mistakes ;)

Besides the great rides and being the best of everything, the best part about Cedar Point is that it isn't Six Flags! YAY!

I think they need to get out of bankrupcy first before you'll see one anywhere..

I doubt you'll see another.

12" = 1 foot

1 foot + 299 feet = 300 feet.

300 feet = GIGA coaster

Just a friendly note.

Vekoma coasters are the DEVIL. My Momma didn't have to tell me that.

Vekoma is like the biggest pimp of the roller coaster industry. It seems like every park has one of their coasters. B&M is a big pimp too.

Hey stop bashing my Vekoma!! Here in Toronto we depend on Vekoma's for a thrill! At Paramount Canadas Wonderland we have 3 Vekoma's. One is a Vekoma SLC called Top Gun, it's a great little headbanger. Then we have a standard Vekoma boomerang clone. And last but not least we have a very nice Vekoma inverted family coaster which gives a great smooth ride. I've never actually ridden a B&M or an Intamin coaster before to compare the Vekoma and Arrow's I have ridden at PCW but i know that these two makes are not top notch. Oh and just another tid bit, for a relativly unknown or less talked about park PCW is great! It has 12 coasters and probobly the greatest selection of flat rides out there.

The only type of Vekoma I could see Cedar Point getting would be a Inverted Family coaster. They are great thrills for little kids.

On Friday I went to SFGAdv and rode S:UF. It was great and immediatly one of my all-time favorites. The pretzel loop is amazing because you dive head first toward the ground. I want to ride more B&M Flying coasters but knowing Six Flags they will keep cloning S:UF so it will always be the same ride (I'll never make it to Europe to ride AIR). I think it is possible to do a loop on a B&M Flying coaster because those restraints are soooooooooo comfortable that it wouldn't hurt your chest but it probably could not pull over 4 G's. I really want to see a B&M Flyer at CP so I can try a different design than S:UF.
I can see a flyer in the future. It would look great swooping by the lagoons. As for Vekoma I always viewed them as a company for the middle amusement groups. They seem to be cheaper and the clones also cut down on price. I do remember hearing that they finally did a custom design in Japan. I think they are on their way to improving themselves. Serial Thriller isn't that bad, it is a little rough now, but was pretty smooth when it first opened!

There certainly won't be a new Vekoma in the park. The main reason is that there are already a few at SFWoA, the park next door. The only possible Vekoma we may see is an inverted kiddie coaster.

And I personally cannot see a new flyer for CP in the future. Sure S:UF and XF are pretty decent rides, but they really aren't all that great. Floorless coasters are much more fun, and that is more likely.

I don't think you will see a Vekoma outside another junior coaster. What would be the point for CP to put one in. Boomerangs are fine for a once a year thrill. X-Flight is probably my least favorite coaster ever and one of the few coasters that I wouldn't mind seeing go. If CP would want to build a flying coaster B&M is the way to go. Invertigos are a heck of a lot better than standard Boomerangs but far too low of capacity coaster for CP. Serial Thriller is actually one of my favorites at SFWoA but CP already has Raptor. Besides Vekoma is bankrupt but things can change so quickly
I don't see CP putting in any kind of Vekoma Rides in (Other than Woodstock). For the money CP is better off going with B & M. For one their rides are a lot better than Vekoma's rides. B & M Coasters are very smooth and offer a great ride, while on the other hand Vekoma just can't truly compare to a B & M of any kind. On a side note I hope to CP next ride be a B & M flyer. Superman at Six Flags over Georgia was Great!!!
I could never imagine a Boomerang at CP. That is so unoriginal and so not CP! But what ever CP does with new any new coaster I can guaranty one thing, we will never, EVER see a parking lot coaster like Scream at SFMM.
Yeah, I just saw the finished pics of it. That was just something to keep the coaster-count debate going. (but i'm not starting that whole topic).
