Hello!
I'm a vegetarian (no animals or fish in my diet, milk and eggs ok)
I'm going to visit from the 28th to the 30th and need to know where to go for vegetarian meals. Aside from the great fries, what other food is available in the park or at local restuarants for vegetarians? I need to know where to get one full veggie meal in park, and also assorted snacks.
Any fellow veggies or carnivores with insight?
I'd suggest going to Midway Market next to Raptor -- it isn't all vegetarian, but there is a pretty good salad bar, pastas, desserts, and some vegetable dishes. It's pretty pricey ($20) but it is all you can eat, so it balances out. :)

save some money, get there before the lunch price ends if possible:)
(also might beat the rush too!)
Where did you get $20 from??? When we went our dinner was $13.95 each... Lunch is $10.95 I believe. Macaroni's might have a good variety of vegetarian selections, but I have never been there. If all else fails, go off the PO!NT and into Sandusky!
Thanks for the help, guys. Is there anywhere in the park that sells fruit? Dare I hope for a vegetarian hot dog or gardenburger?

July 29, baybe!
Last time I was there (June 2000) I didn' see any Veggie burgers or anything like that :( Sandusky didn't appear to be too veg-friendly either :(
TGI Friday's in the Breakers Tower might also have vegetarian selections.

TGIFriday's does have a few things. Midway Market is a good choice as well. As stated it is a little expensive because like at all buffets you pay for meat whether you eat it or not, but it is a good selection for vegetarians and it is nice and cool in there. (Best place for AC at CP) Macaroni's had a couple of veg meals as well although I haven't eaten there in a couple of years. I don't know how long you plan on being there, but there are a couple decent places (Ruby Tuesday and one other place I have eaten...Country Kitchen maybe) out by the mall between CP and the toll road. You can find a veggie burger at that Ruby Tuesday.

Four words: cheese-on-a-stick.
Plus, with one cheese-on-a-stick, you'll consume enough calories for the entire day!

Yum, cheese on a stick! Just the thing to hit the spot in betweeen coasters. We're getting in dinner time on the 28th, then leaving early the 30th. So is there a consensus on how much the free for all buffet costs for lunch??

T-minus 9 till CP!
Pizza is also available without meat toppings. My advice is to avoid the park food and pack a lunch in a cooler and keep it in your car. I usually bring simple things, sandwiches, veggies, fruit. then I can have a cheap, meat free, and healthy lunch.
Thanks Joe! I'll have to bring my fanny pack with some fruit. I had a really awful time finding food at Pittsburgh's Kennywood. I had to subsist on fried dough and french fries.

Well kennywoods fries are awesome!!!!!

WHOO!
OK, bogie 66, unlike Hillary Clinton, I *KNOW* I'm not going to be in Pennsylvania. Let's keep the conversation to french fries sold on the Ohio side of Lake Erie...

(For everyone not in NY, our Senate candidate mistakenly called an Erie *PA* radio station thinking she was talking to Erie *NY*)
What's the difference? She's not running for a Senate seat from New York, she's running for a Senate seat :)

cheese pizza, french fries, cheese-on-a stick, garden salads, soft pretzels, Pepsi, ICEE, thats all I have to say.
Order a hamburger at the Burger Patio. I'm don't know exactly what it's made of, but the last one I ate sure didn't resemble meat.
