Various Parking Lots At Cedar Point

Greetings, Fellow Cedar Point Fans;

First off, a thank you to all that have posted some valuable trip planning tips! We're leaving for Cedar Point this Tuesday from Minneapolis, and we are anxious to get there! It's going to be a lengthy drive but, nonetheless, 100% worth every mile.

Although pervious forums have answered many of my trip planning questions, I'm still confused on several parking lots that are mentioned over and over in these discussions.

Can somebody please take a moment to explain the best parking option? Do I even have a choice where to park? It has been a couple years since our last visit, and I don't recall seeing more than the main lot.

Any help, advice or tips would be very much appreciated!

let's see, we have the main lot, which everyone knows about. then there's the Challenge Park lot. to get there drive down Perimeter Road, and you'll go pasth the rides and on the outskirts of the penninsula, and eventually you'll get there. if yer staying at one of the hotels, they have parking lots as well...

There are two parking lots that are available to the general public. Those are the main lot and the Soak City lot. The other parking lots on the Point are for the marina or hotels and are not used for general park visits. The Soak City lot is down the perirmeter road, just follow the signs. The closest park entrance to Top Thrill Dragster is either the Soak City entrance or the resorts entrance (next to Ocean Motion). You will need to park in the Soak City lot to use those entrances, otherwise the main lot is fine.

A point not mentioned...if you wish to park in the Soak City/Challenge park lot, go to the Resorts tollbooth on the far left. Otherwise you get shuffled in to the main lot.
