Variable lift speed on Gemini

I think Gemini should get one of those variable lift's like Lightning Racer at Hersheypark. What this does is increase or decrease the speeds of one of the trains on the lift hill so they are even for the drop. Then it would really be a race!!

It can't be a race anyway, since the track length from the top of the lift to the station is actually longer on one side anyway. Not only that but the key to getting them at least on the lift together is dispatching the blue train a moment later since the red train has farther to go to the lift.

That may be, but all in all they are about the same. Two turns on each side.

Regardless of the two lengths of track, the "race" always seems to be screwed up when one of the trims on the last turn-around gets 'squeezed' a little harder than the other. At least it seems this way to me.
Kakarot the Gemini does have variable lift speeds. If you look at the sides of the track just before the lift you can see sencors, again on lift and towards the end, before the tirms. The sensors slow the lift for the train that is ahead, so the other can catch up. Dueling Dragonds at Universal Studios, weighs the trains so the lighter train goes over first. *** This post was edited by B-Town on 4/21/2000. ***
It can be a race at the beginning. as I have seen ride ops that know exactly how and when to release the trains getting them perfectly matched for the lift. That is when it is fun. But some of the times the ops dont care and just release the trains. After the hill the fun begins.

Blue Train is the best. Almost everytime Ive been on Gemini and they were racing, the trains finished real close.
