I just sent him a tweet and he responded with "I think the CP Marina is beautiful this time of year" lol Guess they really are hiding something.

I hope you kept the time lapse going late into last night—they did quite a bit of work in the dark when adding the turn at the top: https://twitter.com/TonyClarkCP/status/679443947240992768

I can't tell which part was cooler. The topping off of the drop, or watching the snow come in. :)

Yeah that was a really great video. So crazy that they worked after dark getting some of the pieces in place. That had to be some cold temps to be up high.

Watching the time lapse, I couldn't help but think that for how nice of a winter we have had thus far, that they are not as far along as they could have. So to look at a comparison, I went and watched the Gatekeeper time lapse video for this week of January (found here). I noticed that at this point in January of 2013, Gatekeeper was about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way built and here we are with Valravn where they have just completed the first drop. I will note that GK is a much longer coaster, and Valravn has already had all, if not almost all of its footers poured, but what do you guys think? I am very confident that they will complete the project on schedule, but does it seem to all of you that they seem to be moving slower than they did with GK?
Other observations that I have taken into account is that they started construction on Valravn later than GK, plus the park has a number of other projects it is working on this winter in addition to Valravn, but technically different crews are working on them.
It seems to be very slow but Tony says that they have plenty of time.

Also, it's worthy noting that Valravn's lift was a bit more tedious to put together than Gatekeeper's. Lifting those HUGE lift sections involved a lot of preparation and were very time consuming. I believe, like a lot of people, that track will now go up at a relatively quick pace. I'm not anticipating that the layout will be done by the time of the Chill Out but I'm willing to bet it'll be at or just past the mid course.

I agree on the lift being more complicated. Compare the progress to F325. I think the lift took the same time as it took them to complete the rest of the course.
