Which do you think you will prefer?
I am leaning towards Siren's Curse. Other than the first drop Valravn doesn't do much for me,
To me it looks like Siren's Curse has more interesting elements. Hopefully we can properly evaluate in June.
Eight ball says ask again in June. Sirens curse will probably be more thrilling. But id be willing to bet sirens curse had more downtime than Val.
First ride; Magnum 1994
I’m concerned about reliability as well. The Sirens Curse layout looks great but I’m not sure about the tilt element. I love Hangtime at Knotts, which is better than Valravn in my opinion. I would prefer something like that however, I won’t complain about a new coaster and am looking forward to SC. I just hope it’s up and running at a high percentage.
Hard to say without having ridden a tilt, but since I think Valravn is just meh, I figure I'll probably like Siren's Curse better. I also think SC will be much higher on the pucker factor scale with that tilt section. Definitely more pucker than the lack of stop mechanism at the top of the TT2 spike.
I find it so odd that enthusiasts tend to diss the vertical drop coasters.
It's a little early to speculate on the reliability of Curse, but I think Vekoma has in its recent history a pretty good track record for their rides. Guardians at Epcot is a fairly complex ride, and I can't think of any time that I've been there that it was down. Same for Seven Dwarfs, Expedition Everest and Tron.

^Jeff, I think the biggest complain among the enthusiasts about those is their length. With the exception of Yukon Striker, they are all pretty short rides. Fun for sure, but kind of one-trick pony's. I like them all though and don't share in the general hate. Just speculating where it may be coming from.

^ I also don't discriminate by length. I too like them all. Long is preferred, but short can be fun too. Depends on the mood ;)
Sit tight fellas ;)
Manufacturers build what parks pay them for, not what enthusiasts dream about. I think that's already understood, but saying anyway.

Jeff, I sorta don't want to think too much about what the enthusiast in the post prior to your's dreams about.
We’re in the sunless days of pre-winter here in Northern Ohio, not much to do but speculate on the reliability of SC from time to time.
I wish y'all would argue about stupid stuff this time of year. Ad rates are unusually high and we could use the page views. The holidays are always so slow for traffic.

It's obviously impossible to make a judgement at this point as for which will provide a better on-ride experience, but Valravn will, to me at least, have a clear advantage in terms of placement and midway spectacle.
I'm sure it'll be a nice addition to the park, and this is obviously a nerd-level nitpick, but the placement of SC is just so underwhelming and reminiscent of a SF-esque parking lot coaster. But at least the tilt and drop section is midway-adjacent.

Jeff calling for arguments, I'll try to add fuel.
Webcam operator is a very skilled position in the CP ranks. Webcam placement is very strategic to fuel speculation. #1 is aimed so that Sirens Curse is just out of view as well as Celebration Stage. It also fails to show the area near Windseeker that some believe is potentially the new stage area. Oh, and we can't track the bathroom rehab. #2 is aimed so that we can't see the progress or lack of it for the water slide staircase to nowhere. Hard to tell whether they have brought in the dis-assembled pieces of the Maui Sands slide to assemble here. #3 aimed so that Snake River Falls demolition is out of view, and whether Town Hall former Museum is still standing. No view of Millenium Island available to see whether playground structure has fallen down yet.
As an olive branch to webcam watchers the operator allowed a view of Sky Ride to monitor it's operation this winter. And recently that large Ogre was put into winter hibernation.
Valravn had the benefit of being a fastlane walk-on 90% of the time. Expecting long lines for Siren, and a long walk from any gate besides the marina. Really hope they don't require any special loose item policy. Also curious about the fast lane speculation for Iron Dragon.
No one expects anything new in the Snake river / Frontier fling area for a few years. It'll be interesting to see what they look like in the meantime. They already showed the arch coming down, I wouldn't be surprised to see pics of the upper parts of SRF gone by winter chillout. Probably just as likely to stay up the whole next season though. I doubt there will be any ground level changes besides a few new walls.
Expecting WCO to focus mainly around Sirens Curse. I'd be impressed if they had the new bathroom in a state to allow a tour break there. Are there any behind the scenes areas they haven't shown off yet or are we expecting Maverick/MF again?
I'd hope to get at least one more Siren progress video before then. With the stage demo, I'd really like to know what their plans are for entertainment in general next year. Not really expecting a big new stage. If not, I'd hope they at least utilize Lils, Aldrich and Garter, scale up boardwalk nights and/or add another similar thing somewhere else.
