Use the Shoot The Rapids area for expanded train ride

Why can't they use what is left over from the Shoot The Rapids ride for the train ride. They could re-route the tracks to go thru the old Shoot The Rapids theaming and then they wouldn't need that gate that stops people. This would make the train ride longer and add something new.

I would be super disappointed if all they did with that land was reroute the train. And yet, it would be nice to not have to wait at the RR crossing.
