On my last visit a few weeks ago, Route 6 was, I believe, being prepared for re-surfacing. Is it completed or partially completed? A friend of mine is going this week, and this popped into my head. I want to give them an idea of possible delays.

On Friday the road was still being patched. They did not start laying the new pavement yet.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Thanks! I'll just tell them to add an extra 30 minuets to their desired arrival time. If there are no delays, great for them, they'll get good parking for arriving earlier.
Keep passing the fun along!
East, heading towards Huron. The pavement is ground down.

Going eastbound from the chausee towards Huron part of the new surface is down. Traffic was backed up a bit on the way in this morning coming from Rye Beach Rd but not horrible. It may have added about 10 minutes.
We went 6 coming from the east, too, yesterday. It didn't say closed so gave it a try because don't like going in 250. It was single lane twice so yeah, it was about 10 extra minutes waiting our turn.

It's definitely easier to wait on construction than go around to 250. We noticed the company doing the work is the same one that just repaved the street we live on. They kept it open pretty well the entire time except for one day when they weren't letting the school bus down to drop anyone off. The school had to call parents and ask them to come get their kids at the end of the road.
If you are coming from the west, it is tore up from I-75 to SR 199 (at least this is as far as I last saw it a few weeks ago). There were a few delays when I tried to go to work several mornings so I have been avoiding it. I usually take 6 on Sunday early entry mornings at CP, but have been avoiding it the past few visits.

We went today and the road has been repaved all the way through. The center lines are done, but they still need to paint the lines along the sides of the road.
