Upgrading to All-ohio pass?

I just got my pass in the mail with the parking thing, and read something about an All-Ohio parking pass, so I checked out the site to see what was up since this was the first I'd heard of it. I bought the CP parking pass when I bought my Maxx Pass at the end of last season, and at that time the All-Ohio pass wasn't available. My brother and I are planning on at least one KI trip and probably multiple GL trips, and according to the CP site there's only a $5 price difference? That's half the price of one day's parking at either KI or GL, so I'm rather pissed that this wasn't offered to begin with. What're the odds that I'll be able to upgrade for any reasonable price if I call up the pass office? (For this I'd be willing to take a trip out and visit the pass office, even.)

If you bought your CP parking pass for $50, you can send $25 plus the parking voucher, plus your Maxx pass, and they'll send your pass back with the all-Ohio parking logo ("OP") on it.

If you paid $70 for your CP parking pass, then you only need to send $5, not $25.

Hey, I heard a rumor that Top Thrill Dragster is sinking...

I am waiting for the season pass center to open in April...then I will go out there and do it..I'm not going to deal with this mailing fiasco and not potentially have my pass in time for KI.

Same thing here.

I wonder if I brought the parking reciept from kings island, if they would comp me?

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

That's a good idea ltrain2006. They won't even start putting the parking on the passes until after April 1. The Season Pass center will open on April 18.

JeffV, TTD is sinking too was correct. Depending on what you paid for your CP parking pass, you'll just need to pay the difference to upgrade to the All Ohio Pass. And probably best to do it in person at the Season Pass center once it opens in April rather than dealing with the mail at this point.

So in reality, there was no benefit to buying the parking pass early for $50 because it is costing us $25 to upgrade to an all-ohio pass and those just buying one now only have to pay an upgrade of $5??!!

If you are upgrading to an all Ohio pass then you are correct.

If someone is just buying a CP parking pass now it still costs $70.

It's your decision to upgrade to the all Ohio parking, you can stick with your discounted CP parking and be happy.

I know this is random, but are Ohio schools going back after Labor Day?

I sent in my pass with a check for the upgrade just short of a month ago now. The check hasn't even cleared yet, and obviously I haven't gotten the pass back. Should I be worried? (I'm not planning on hitting anything but CP at the beginning of the season so I don't need my pass until CP opening day, but I'm starting to wonder.)

I got a call from CP yesterday, and they haven't even started printing the passes with the Parking on the ID yet. They should start printing them today.

I wouldn't worry yet, but if you don't have it back in another couple of weeks, I'd give the Season Pass center a call.

Is it possible to purchase the All Ohio Parking Pass at Kings Island? We plan on going to Kings Island first for 4 days then to Cedar Point for 4 days. We plan on buying our Maxx Passes at Kings Island.

If you are getting King's Island Maxx Passes, it would stand to reason that you can buy your all Ohio parking pass there as well. The problem would probably arise from having CP Maxx Passes and wanting to buy an Ohio parking pass at King's Island.

I would Kings Island first though, as the All Ohio pass is not listed on Kings Islands website.

I think he meant call first. :)
