Upgraded Food Reviews / Menu & Pricing Changes

So, how are the much-hyped fresh, never-frozen burgers? Any improvement with the original-recipe, fresh-cut fries? Any other changes to the food or menu that are worth noting?

Secondly, have any food & drink prices throughout the park been rolled back or changed? Are the Platinum Pass deals all working out well without hassle?

I had the fries. They were tasty, although I didn't really notice if they were an improvement over last year. I will note that the employees were clueless about the platinum pass deal. I stopped in the foods office to make mention of it, only because another guy in line was being a complete jerk about it when it clearly wasn't the fault of the people working the stand.

Did not see any change in the prices, nor any mention of the new burgers. The only new item that I did see that was being advertised was the fish and chips.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I had a burger and fries on Saturday. The burger was hot and juicy rather than being warmed over and dry. Fries were good too. I haven't had a burger/fries at CP in several years so I can't comment on changes from prior years with respect to the fries. Was $12 for buger/fries and bottle of water though.

Burger Patio has beer battered fish & chips (they use Yuengling in the batter) for $7.99. I had a basket, and it was very good! And they didn't skimp out on the fish, either. They probably gave me 6 or 7 decently-sized pieces of fish with fries.

Also, the fresh cut fries were really good. We had some issues with the fryer for cheese-on-a-stick, but after a decent wait it was as good as ever. :)

It must be hit or miss. We used two deals - one at Happy Friar and one at C.J.'s Provisions. At both locations the employee knew the deal.

The fresh cut fries are wonderful, just like I remember them from back in the day. Big improvement IMHO, I liked the fries so much I purchased 3 servings on Saturday.

I also had a burger at Coasters, which I believe was the fresh, never frozen variety. It was a good burger, tasted good with a nice texture to the meat. The rest of the park got short changed on the burgers however, the walk-up places like Burger Patio, Sky Ride and Stockade all had the same frozen beef patties as they had last year.

The Fish and Chips at Burger Patio are not new, they were available towards the end of the season last year. Tried some last year and I agree that the Fish and Chips are very good.

I'm not sure about other new food items, CP always had good treats like funnel cakes and elephant ears. I think other parks that used to sell pre-made Funnel Cake Factory funnel cakes (Dorney for one) may be switching to the fresh made ones like CP, but CP always had those.

I had the fries at the Happy Friar yesterday. they were good, but liked last years fries better. Could be just a personal preferenced. They raised the price to $5.99 for plain fries. I don't think the portion is as large either. I think they were $4.79 last year.

I didn't sample any of the other new offerings.

Saturday there were many problems with the cash registers through out the park. I was waiting in line for free water and those in front of me were having trouble completing their transactions. My family experienced problems a few places.

I overheard a teenage boy joking to he friends as they were walking near the subway about the $15 footlongs. I found that amusing. Smart kid! Unlike the dozen or so lined up to purchase a $15 footlong.

I was there with my kids all day Saturday, and Sunday afternoon. At each food vendor, we just mentioned we wanted the Platinum Pass deal. I was shocked, no problems at all. This was done at Coasters (just over $7 for 1/3 pound burger, fries, Pepsi), Happy Friar by Gemini(6.89-Chili fries, reg. fries, 2 Pepsis), Macho Nacho ($8.xx plus 2 free tacos), Corral (2 dogs on a stick, 2 free pepsis). Everything was great, but service at the Corral was sloooooooow.

So, Cedar Point didn't get the new burritos, fresh Philly cheese steaks, fresh fruit stands, and salads that people are raving about at Kings Island?

I tried the new burritos at KI (being compared to Chipotle / Qdoba) by the way, and it was very satisfying and a great value ($7.49) - it was nice fueling my body without eating anything fried.

Sadly they got rid of the French Waffles at the one stand on the main midway. Tried looking for other places that had them with no luck.

I caught the part about "free water", this is the second time someone has mentioned that...does this mean that you get free water at the concession stands?

Yes, you can get free ice water at the stands throughout the park. In recent years though, they've switched to very small cups.

If you go to a stand that has fountain pop. You can just ask for a cup of water and you will get a small clear cup with ice water. This is true at all Cedar Fair parks

Cedar Point has always offered free water at the food stands.

Hello, how much is a bottle of water, and bottle of pop,and fresh pizza.also how is expensive is the buffet. How much is general parking. How much is cheese on a stick.Ect. Robert

Bottled water is $3.

From what I could remember when I glanced or bought these were the prices of a select few.

Chicken finger basket 10.20. Hamburger Basket 9.45. Bottle of pop 3.50. Bottle of water 3. Fresh Cut Fries 5.99. Chili Chese Fries were 6.89. 21 ounce fountain drink 3.99. 32 ounce fountain drink 4.09. Of course then they add tax to all these prices, except the bottle of pop and water thats the final cost.

Most gift shops are also selling a one litre bottle of water for $3.85.

So somewhere between 10.00 and 15.00 per person per meal in the park. What about TGI Friday's and Famous Dave's? Are the prices comparable to other locations? I read on here that the Subway prices were outrageous compared to a normal Subway, I don't want to break the bank for dinner every night.
