The interviews on the media CD were a little longer than those on the web site. For those who might be interested, I've made the audio available as MP3's.
Yes it is... and let me say, those things got awfully beat up in the mail... :)

I have the TTD CD-ROM that went out in 2003, I got it from my aunt who works at CAA. I she can get me a Maverick one. I sent in a post card in hopes of winning one in case she can't get me one.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I thought the same thing when I watched them.

I think many of you misinterpreted what Dick Kinzel said originally about TTD.
He was always disappointed and always will be about the ride's terrible performance during its first three seasons. The ride's performance is one thing, popularity is another. TTD has proven to be one of CP's most popular attraction put in during the past 20 years. So, what he said on the interview is that TTD and a couple other coasters have been great successes (popular), and he thinks Maverick will turn out the same way.
Basically, I doubt he changed his mind, like myself, that TTD ran like crap its first three seasons and it was a disappointment for the park. Great ride nonetheless. :)

I love listening to what the people who run the park have to say about the rides in their park. It's great to get all of these behind the scenes things like the extended interviews as well as Walt's pictures inside the project area. Thanks!
Also, Gomez, I agree with what you're saying about Dragster, it'll always have downtime due to how complex it is, and in that respect it's a dissapointment, but what other ride is there in the park where everyone within around a 3,000 or so foot radius of the ride is involved in the ride; people in the que line cheering and such, people watching from the bleachers, people stopping to watch on the midways, people talking about it in other lines, it'll always be a success and IMO due to all of those things as well as theming, and location and such, it'll never be a dissapointment to me and will always be the #1 coaster, which I think a large part of the general public also thinks of the ride.
Ride Count at Dorney Park so far this year:
Hydra: 14 Laser: 3 Steel Force: 11 Talon: 18 Thunderhawk: 4
And that's just in 23 hours!
I totally agree about TTD. Even if everyone in the family can't ride it, they can all participate in the experience. I love that about TTD. One of the eight of us that went this year didn't want to ride. But, she waited in line with us, then when we got on, she exited and stood by the launch. That was really cool I thought.
That just goes to show how much more thought CP puts into their rides than SF. Granted, SF can "copy" a ride design, but they totally dropped the ball when it comes to the details. Not even the people in line can "participate" in KK. Its sad really.
Back on topic though, the CP people need to come up with better descriptions for Maverick. They've already overused the "low to the ground, quick curves, bunny hops" description. :)
