Nice Pics! :)
I get more excited day by day...

"Water will be involved." MrScott 2006

Definately is getting interesting out there. They keep up at this rate it will be going vertical when i get there in August.

thanks for the update Walt. :)

I was wondering, is there a possible way to estimate the current length of track from a pic of the whole staging area (by counting the pieces and knowing their rough length). I mean, could we possibly conclude if/[the amount of] more ground work and footers are needed and that the track will be going other places besides the current dirt plot? I know itd be hard since we dont know things such as its height, but if we found that it already is very long with only the current pieces of track at the staging area, we may get an idea. Either way, itd be nice to know how long it is from the track we can see.

I can do it probably without too much problem. Just give me until August and ill let you know rughly how long it will be and where it possibly may go. ;)

How any pieces are currently on site?

Im going to make a really wild guess and say that we either have over 1000 feet of track or just under that.......just a guess.

Looks interesting, but at this point I won't be too excited until vertical construction begins. I'm fairly confident that it will have started by the time I get back to Cleveland in late August, and perhaps by the time I'm there for a week in late July. The only thing I found very interesting are the big footers in the middle of the site, which I think are the ones Jeff referred to as having the largest base. I'd expect that will be the tallest point on the ride, yet the footers go in a curved shape. The only sense I can make out of that is that this will be a launched coaster and the first hill will have a slight curve to it. What do you guys think?

Great update. Thanks guys.

This question just came to mind, and maybe someone can answer it...

since I can't recall back to TTD, once vertical construction does start, or has been finished, then is there a particular order in which track is constructed? I wasn't sure if maybe they start from the station and work out, or what...

They put it up in the order the construction schedule has them put it up. It just depends really. Generally, if there's only 1 way into a construction site, they start at the farthest part and move towards the entrance, one would think at least.

Is that more track or just more pictures of the same track from before?

When I was there on the 2nd, there were 24 pieces of track. So If anyone knows how long a typical piece of intamin track is...

I figure somewhere around 30-40 feet.

This picture here shows the first pieces of track that were installed on TTD.

So If anyone knows how long a typical piece of intamin track is...

If Raptor0137 from another thread is correct, MF has 229 sections of track. That would make the average track length 28.7 feet.

^Nice math. Jason Hammond said on the 2nd there were 24 pieces. And at 18.7 ft in length that means that there is roughly 666 feet of track thats if Spit and Jason's facts are right.;)

At 18.7ft there would be 448.8.:)

Oh and check your math cause at an average of 28.7 feet and with 24 pieces we would have 688.8 feet. Plus, more pieces have arrived since Jason went so we have somewhere around 700 feet or track.

From what I saw Thursday, I'd say we're closer to 40 pieces now.
