I was at Univerals Studios FL this past weekend and noticed the progress on their new coaster - Rock It. It has a vertical lift hill, meaning you climb straight up to the top of the first drop. It also has a rather unique loop in that you enter it on the inside of the circle, as is typical, but then you roll 180 deg so that at the top of the loop you are upright and sitting on top of the circle. Then you roll another 180 deg as you complete the loop. Hope that made sense - I didn't have my camera with me. The coaster is supposed to have a user selectable sound system as well.
Unique or not? Haven't seen these features before. Millenium Island could easily accomodate one of these lift hills.
Official website: http://www.hollywoodripriderockit.com/#/home It certainly looks unique, but I don't think CP would do anything similar. Looks like I will have to finally go to universal though.
Just your usual come and go poster. One week I am here, then I disappear for a while.
Here's a pic of it from RCDB

I like the loop on it, I think it will be a much more fun sensation than some people are expecting.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
The vertical lift is nothing new. See Mystery Mine. Its actually pretty cool.
I'm interested to hear rider reactions to the "loop". The pictures make it seem like it'll be pretty wicked.

The new loop looks great...Id love to give it a try. I think it would be a unique sensation to be pulled into a right-side up position so quickly...one of those "it all happened so fast but man it was a blast" sensations, like the top hat of a launch coaster. Only this coaster lasts longer than 17 seconds.
Promoter of fog.
