It's been two years ago today since Mr. Scott passed away:

Just felt like I couldn't let it slip by without remembering our old Pointbuzz friend.
We still miss you, Mr. Scott. :(

And he got his ride on Maverick.
After all...he was correct in his prediction...it does indeed involve water...:)
Kudos to you, Ensign, for acknowledging him.

I would always love reading his post.
We should all take a ride of remembrance for Mr. Scott, if i remember correctly Magnum was his favorite.
He will indeed, TTD. I'm not on too often but alas, I've still witnessed his everlasting presence.
I'm glad he did at least manage to get his ride on Maverick. What a great ride that dies involve water. :)
His posts were always so short, yet they made more sense and were more logical than most other posters. Sounded like a really nice guy.
Miss you Mr. Scott.
Let's Get Weird.
I joined after he passed, but not much, and still got to benefit from his posts. I was really touched to see the old-timers around here all pitch in to get him his ride on Maverick. I'm very sorry I didn't get to trade posts with him on here.
I found an old, old post from about 3 years ago that Mr. Scott said made him laugh. :) It mentions another one of his favorite things about CP; Lighthouse Point, which he adored. He had a great sense of humor. Here it is..
(sung by D. Kinzel)
In the year 2000....
Conan O'Brien: "Season pass holders of Cedar Point will mourn, as their beloved White Water Landing is replaced with...White Water Disaster Transport: Alaska or Bust"
(sung by D. Kinzel)
In the year 2000...
Jeff Putz: "Those who know will finally say something to those who dont know, who themselves will say a lot, especially to those who think they know, but dont know that they never did know, only now they do...or do they....muah ahahah"
(sung by D. Kinzel)
In the year 2000...
MrScott: "The citizens of Lighthouse Point shall kneel to their newly elected "Emporer of Lighthouse Point", paying me homage each morning with an offering from Mr. Potato...sans vinegar"
(sung by D. Kinzel)
In the year 2000...
TTD 120mph: "Showing my love for the ride, I will become the first human being to not only ride Top Thrill Dragster, but actually become part of the ride, as I allow myself to become biogenetically engineered into the ride's superstructure...that green light on the Christmas Tree? That's me baby...thats me..!!"

When I was a newbie on here, all of 2 1/2 years ago, Mr.Scott was one of the most welcoming and gracious oldtimers to me. He went out of his way to make me feel at home, and I've never forgotten it.

Wow, completely forgot about that post. I can see why he liked it, it's hilarious. Depicts me perfectly.;)

I can't believe it's been two years. Never met him in person but talked to him online quite a few times. He gave me a lot of advice about staying at LP, which because of him, I always do now. Nice guy.
I'm somewhat new here, but when going back into threads I have read some of Mr. Scott's posts. I came onboard here a month after he passed away, but I do remember reading posts before I signed up. Sure was a great guy!

Every once and a while a new thread will be resurrected and I will see a post by MrScott and i have to take a double take. I really can't believe it's been two years. I always think of MrScott every time I stay in LHP.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I have been visiting this website for close to 8 years, and I have done a lot of my growing up on here. When I was younger I would ask a lot of dumb questions. When everyone else would criticize them, Mr Scott would always politely answer them...no matter how dumb they really were. :)
I truly think that he is one of the nicest people I have ever come across on GTTP/Point Buzz. He will definately be missed. Rest in peace Mr Scott.
Does anyone have any pictures from the day that he got his memorial ride on Maverick?
"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"
Jesz, I could not have said it any better. I was fairly new when Mr Scott passed away, but I still remember his great sense of humor and his ability to always be calm even when others were angry at someone for asking a question.
Mr Scott truly was a one-of-a-kind man and he will always be missed on these boards. Rest in peace Mr Scott.
R.I.P. Mr. Scott
