I was censored for suggesting that the gondolas on the Giant Wheel look like the Pride Flag. Why, I can't think of a reason.
But when I click on this site an ad comes up for a t-shirt that says "C***ing Season."
Why is that allowed?
Well, the ads are based off of your own internet browsing trends (not intending this to be an insult, but pointing out the basics of internet targeted advertising) Hence why I've been getting a lot of pet shampoo products ads on this site after recently trying to find a new brand for my dog.... and ads for Dollywood after browsing their site to plan my next trip.
Thought I might be in the market for a new Coasting Season tshirt, then I realized there weren't enough *s
I have looked at vintage t-shirts recently, but jeez.
These ads are authorized by this site, right?
Maybe do some research.
I can assure I have not looked up the C word.
Not really. To my knowledge, the ads are authorized by Google, which sometimes does a trash job when deciding what to allow. However, like others have said, the ads are targeted based on information the powers at google have on you.
I've done my best to anonimize my ad targeting therefore getting the most generically targeted advertisement. What I've learned, like Aaronosmer said, a lot of junk unvetted companies put a lot of wide net advertising out and google doesn't seem to care.
Still haven't been able to uncross these circuits...

This is not even remotely true. I have no idea what you're talking about.
