Two Rollbacks in one day

I got to the park yesterday (6/22) at 9 and got on at about 9:45 and got my first rollback of the day, and then I went on again around 5 and got the second, I was so pumped on the way home.

What are the odds?

Lucky lucky.... I'm quite envious.

BS, The odds of me getting a rollback are 0 in 32 so far. I can't believe that in one day you were able to get two. TTD has been running great this year, the down time is minimal, and rollbacks are fair and few between. The seven times we've been there this year, and one to soak city, we have only seen three. Now we don't just sit there and stare at TTD, but it's in plain view at soak city and you can't help but look every time you here it launch so that day I did. But come on, two in one day "no way"

Rollbacks and downtime are always necessarily connected. My guess is that, higher winds are the usual suspect for rollbacks and that as long as they are infrequent, they won't shut down the ride. I'm not sure what the wind speed needs to be to shut the ride down, but when I went on sunday the 6th (at least i think it was the 6th) and it was very windy that day. TTD was closed until the winds died down. While they were begining to start the ride up again I witnessed 3 rollbacks with no passangers. Once they were consistantly cresting the hill, they began running with passengers. They started with half filled cars and gradualy worked their way up to filled cars. I figured that day was my best chance for a rollback so far. Unfortunatly it didn't happen.

Do you guys ever wonder if rollbacks on the Dragster are some kind of secret subliminal advertising for Wal-mart?

My girlfriend went on 6/22 and didn't get to ride TTD. She said it was down the whole time she was there so who knows. 2 rollbacks in one day for the same person i doubt it, her telling the truth i kinda doubt that too *** Edited 6/24/2004 6:57:23 AM UTC by JASON L.***

What would be the point of her lying? She's not gaining anything by it.

I've actually gotten two rollbacks in a row earlier this year. It was after some downtime and the train before us made it over fine, but it took 3 launches to get us over. It is definately possible to get multiple rollbacks in a day, it just depends on how often the ride goes down (weather or mechanical).

I don't see the huge deal about rollbacks anyway. No, I have not experienced one, but I would rather make it over the top and complete the circuit. Maybe once would freak me out, but after that, eh...

Well after you rollback, you get to go again, so that's another plus that comes with it.

When I was at Magic Mountain in California, I waited an undodly amount of time in line for Superman. But when our car returned to the station, they went to far back an couldn't unlock the seats. So they asked us if anyone didn't want to go again. (dead silence) So we got to launch up the 400' hill again. The wait in line was worth the double dip.

Believe it or not I could have had three in one day all seperate. The first one I would have had if I went up the opposite ramp. One I got after a rain delay. And later in the day I was fifth in line waiting to get in the station and we got out but later saw the train launch and it rolled back.

It's not hard to believe. On 6/10 when I got my rollback, the guy who I was with had already gotten a double rollback earlier in the day after downtime due to mechanical.

What was odd was the fact that my rollback came in the middle of a bunch of successfully launched trains. Go Figure.

After a rain one time, I saw 8 rollbacks. I dont know if thats normal for after a rain, but i just had to say me part.

I was there on 6/16 and we witnessed 4 rollbacks from rain and 2 "misfires"
