two conveyers on WWL

Why do they do this? Why not have one belt run the whole length of the lift?

What is the conveyer belt situation of Snake River Falls? I never looked closely enough to notice.

Isn't there more than one boat on the lift at a time? That's certainly a good enough reason.

SRF uses a traditional chain lift.

Futuristic bow-wow... do the dog catcher!
Good point, why didn't I think of that?

I believe I've seen flumes run two boats up the belt at once...
SRF is very similar to Rim Runner here in vegas in that they are both made by arrow. A system of two belts turning at the same time lifts the boats out of the water and puts them onto the chain. Personally i dont like chains on water rides.

Ride Man where are you ??? I thought it was because:
a) If you look the second belt is much drier, so water doesn't ride up the entire lift and cause slippage.
b) Easier to change tension on two small belts than one huge one.
c) One motor can't drive two boats up the lift at the same time.

I know I am wrong ???

:) "Did you know this goes up-side down" :)
It can be done. I've seen 4 empties go up a belt at once before.
