I wish I had the National Geographic channel. I have the Discovery channel but they air the same one over and over. The closest thing to Cedar Point that I've seen on TV this winter was Chuck Gaidica Local 4's weather report, he compared this week's temperatures to a 'roller coaster ride at Cedar Point.' Ohh and the Castaway Bay commercial is on right now.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

1 am is not "tonight". It's actually morning. I'd have to guess it has already aired at that time and date (1 am THIS morning).MrScott
Is the offseason getting to you or something?

That show was pretty good. I wish they would have went into the problems they had instead of just showing them do test runs over and over again.
zsko - Most of the people who watched the show wouldn't have any idea what problems they were having. In fact, its probably a good bet that the engineers didn't know what the exact problem was but knew something wasn't right. (The train didn't reach the top of the hill, that's what the problem was, next step was figuring out why and how to fix, two things that wouldn't have been easily explainable to a general audience. Heck it wouldn't have been easily understood by an enthusiast audience)
RKilbane - can you repeat that in English please.
Goodbye MrScott

I saw the show on sunday and I liked it. The best part about that show, IMO, is when they gave CP credit for having the first giga and strata coasters on earth. It just seems to me, whenever the travel channel or discovery channel does shows like these, they seem to get the facts mixed up EVERY TIME. So, thank you National Geographic Channel for a great show.

I loved that they said that "being second isn't an option in the roller coaster business..." ummm, yeah...i thought TTD was built before KK and that would make KK....second...

Just a heads up for March. There is a week coming up that the Travel channel has called "Great Family Vacations Week" (I think that is what it is called). This is when they usually have the coaster shows on. I think it might start on the 13th but I am not 100% sure.
RIDE ON, and ON and ON and ON and ON and ON...

There is a show called "Best Amusement Parks 2006" on the Travel Channel on March 24th at 8pm and 11pm and March 26 at 1pm. I assume they are eastern times. This is the info I found on the Travel Channel's website when I searched Great Family Vacations Week.
If anyone sees the info on the Cedar Point show please post it. I would love to see the show. I ordered the DVD from CP, The Roller Coasters of Cedar Point. I just could not wait on Discovery or the Travel Channel. I'm too excited and had to know what to expect.
