ALLIANCE, Ohio – The University of Mount Union will be featured on ABC News’ Nightline tonight. The program will air at 12:35 a.m.
Nightline producers began filming on campus in the spring and have followed members of Dr. Kevin Meyer’s Abnormal Psychology class as they participated in a “Face Your Fears” project. Through the project, students with a professed fear of roller coasters learned and applied techniques to battle anxiety and tackled their most feared rides at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio in October.
For the past six years, Meyer, associate professor of psychology, has led a group of students on a trip to Cedar Point where they put the final pieces of the eight-week project together. Over the years, no student has ever failed to reach his or her personal goal and conquer his or her phobias, with this year’s class bringing the record to 77-0.
Just watched it. It was a very good story. That's a cool class you got going there, Kevin.

Good work Kevin. Nightline did a nice job as well.
Thank you, and thanks to Walt for sharing this! We have a blast putting this together year after year, and it's amazing seeing it come to life like this.
Promoter of fog.
How AWESOME! We didn't ride MF or TTD until 2014 season , due to our fear/ anxiety. This video SHOULD be played while waiting in Que. We only conquered our 'fear' due to peer pressure(not recommended) and some free line skip passes-do, die or be embarrassed. Now we can't get enough! Next stop is SlingShot after viewing this video a few more times!!! GREAT job!
Keep passing the fun along!
I'm going to wait for the taping tonight. Look forward to watching this, it's a pretty cool thing you're doing Kevin. Congrats on making it to the big time!
It must be a relief to finally see it air, after having it bumped so many times over the months. The story came out really well. Kudos, Kevin.
