While were at it, I've seen more kids get hurt with collapsing desks at school then on coasters. Why don't we use millions of "tax dollars" that need to be used on this nice lil war on some stupid regulation that isn't needed. Look at reality dude. There are far more things we need to regulate than one main coaster saftey committe. Parks already do that, as well as the people who make the rides. People like you amaze me.....

I saw it and I live in Albany, NY. They said that roller coasters don't cause ingeries. Just before the comercial break came on before the story came on the person said this, "When we come back we will talk about roller coasters being safe or not. They are also getting bigger and faster, there is onebeing built in Ohio that is 420ft tall and reaches speeds 120mph." Then they showed some nice aerial view of Top Thrill Dragster.

I assume the story is about the studies released by Six Flags today. They interviewed me I guess for a local insert on it.

Thank you for the video link. I enjoyed it more than reading it. Anyway. BOO WHO. Are we going to be signing a waver to ride roller coasters soon? These people need to chill out. While yes, I strongly believe in public safety, I feel the approach at which is being taken is a little harsh.

-Look on the bright side. If anything, it'll make the line for TTD just a few people shorter!

Ohio seems to have pretty cool government. I don't see a G-Force law coming to CP anytime soon. We know, hope, and pray that we as guests to any amusement park ride responsibly, as do we have confidence in CP for insuring our safety.

Let the Season begin!

That story about safety made the CBS Evening News last night. There were shots of the Millenium Force, Magnum & Mantis. There were shots from other parks I did not recognize. The Force was the lead-off shot, though, which was very cool.

I saw a simular story on my news station last night. They had it on the FOX affliate out here in San Francisco.

As a side note to this...In the Cleveland Plain Dealer (1/22) there is a "story" about the roller coaster study...it is the photo which accompanies this story you'll enjoy seeing...A nice shot from Battery Park across the Bay with Dragster in full view...It is located on page A2, that is the MAIN section of the newspaper not the one with the Comics!

Damn Markey, nothing will ever shut him up. Anyway, I can't see the video clip because I'm not giving my credit card number to download the "free" Real Player, but I'm happy we finally have some scientific study in our favor.

I saw reports, too. One on FoxNews and one on a local NBC station--WOOD TV-8. News Team 8's report was more positive than the cable channel FoxNews.

This was the first time that I have heard "Top Thrill Dragster" on TV. And I watch quite a bit of TV. It was not bad press, but I wish it had not been linked to Dragster.
