Tunnels

Does anyone know what the tunnels are going to be made of, and when they are going to start working on them, how long they are going to be, and is there going to be any special effects in them?

I'm not sure but it would be cool to have some special effects in them. That would make it different from tunnels on other coasters. Fog coming from the tunnel with a light inside the tunnel would look cool. I don't know if they would do that because I don't know if the tunnels will be near the sidewalk so it would be kinda useless if they weren't.

The tunnels are at ground level in the middle of Frontier Trail. They will probably use mist, steam, of fog. It might not but many Intamin coasters use this Effect allot. They (to my knowledge) do all special effex on the ride for the parks as well (though their are exceptions).

"Many Intamin coasters?" Which ones are those? Jr. Gemini and Avalanche Run had no effects. The only other hyper they've built anywhere is S:ROS, and aside from mist (as in water, not chemical fog) at the bottom of the hill, there are no effects. In fact, half of the time they don't even use the mist because it's too cold.

How can you make that generalization when they've only built one other ride similar to MF? How can that have any bearing on what Cedar Point decides to do?

I have been on a few Intamin coasters (six with mist effect, one with fog). None use chemical however many use mist. Except Volcano that is the only one that use chemical fog. Millennium Force has part of the ride above water so I am guessing it may use mist. I did not state that they would definatly use mist/fog though. It is up to the park whether or not Intamin does the effects. All I ment is that they can.
