TTR IS DEAD!

I just got back from the park like 15 Minutes ago (8/23/00). TTR was not in effect today, and the ride op said it was done for the rest of the year!!! WOOHOO! I was so happy. Servo, I take it you will love this.

I was there also and noticed no signs of TTR. Also, the Millennium Force line moves so fast now (probably due to no break downs and constant 3 trains) it hardly seems like the wait it really is.

Hallelujah! Lets just hope it is dead for good and not just in hibernation until next year!

Hey, TTR worked great for me everytime I used it. I hope it makes a comeback next year.
It was a foul mess on Saturday June 24th, the 1st weekend they started it. But I have to say that since CP got the bugs out it has helped me get better ride times/wait times. I was originally opposed to it because of the original fiasco, but now actually like it.

Got 5 rides on Sat. Aug.19th and 6 rides on Mon. Aug. 21st. due to TTR. TTR seems to work great as long as there are no breakdowns.

I never liked it. I meen, when I'm at the park, by myself, or with some friends, we are sparatic, we dicide what to ride next while we get off whatever we were on. So it kinda messed that up, plus the lines for other rides were outragous durring TTR. You should have seen the releived look on the ride ops face when I asked him about it and he said it was gone.

Yesterday the lines were moving great, on average I only waited 15 mintues in line with the exception of MF(hour and 1/2 both times), Raptor(45 minutes), Mantis(30 mintues). Other than that even Magnum was practicly a walk on (2 rides in 5 minutes) in the morning, and 10 minute wait durring the rest of the day. Had TTR been in effect, the lines for other lines would have been much larger, like last Tuesday when I was there.

Like Scooter said, TTR works great as long as there aren't any interruptions to the system (breakdowns, weather). It worked out well for me when I went, BUT I can understand the complaints. Personally I don't think I'll miss it for the remainder of this year, anyway...

I hope they don't bring back TTR next year. I think Disney has been a bad influence on the CP brass. What brain storm are they going to bring back from Orlando next year?..Maybe some of those stinkin rotten turkey legs.
Well everyone knows TTR is dead [at least for this year] is because its that time of year again: Autumn They're not going to draw the same crowds as they did in July/early August for obvious reasons. My guess is that it WILL be back next year. Why? Well ever since its first couple of weeks, TTR worked well and when I saw it in first person three weeks ago it worked well

Er, TooFastGM3, you can get a barbecued turkey leg at the Grist Mill stand between the Addington Mill and the Snake River Falls exit...

BeemanCP65, TTR *never* worked well. It had the appearance of working well, but in reality it only worked when the park wasn't packed to the gills to begin with. When the park was busy, all it did was to confuse people, make people mad, and cause an unbelievable amount of hassle and frustration for the entrance crew. Let's hope TTR is dead, buried, and gone.

Speaking of things that are dead and gone, it appears to me that the last two switchbacks of the Millennium Force queue are also dead and gone...you know, next to what was becoming the infamous gum wall before they shut off that section of queue. Am I the only person who thinks that since they don't use that row, they ought to bust up the concrete and plant a row of trees there? They could even use the green candycanes to stake 'em up... :)

There's another reason that the two lines are closed. The first time we were there, a drunken man standing on the ramp, urinated on another man right below. Needless to say, the cops arrived, and arrested him, and all my trips to the point after that incident have been without those two lines. That's the main reason.
Why couldn't they have stopped using it on Monday?!
Sorry to disappoint most of you, but I have a different view...TTR *probably* is in hibernation because by now the crowds are probably smaller and there just isn't a need for it.
(That was me trying to think in some CP executive's shoes, my opinion is that it never helped anyway, but for the park itself it might seem like a logical thing to do when the crowds drop. The queue was in overflow when I used TTR once so it really doesn't help much at all. Plus everybody DOES get mad and confused.)

This is just my logical explanation, I'm not saying it's a fact cause it's not.

DOWN WITH TTR FOREVER, IT DOESN'T HELP!!!!
I really don't think that TTR made the other lines "outragous." I remember in a previous thread I did the calculations of how many people would be in the MF queue, etc, and I came up with only about an extra 5 minutes for the 3 other major coasters.

A bad day at CP is better than a good day at work.
I too, noticed that. I am glad it is gone. It caused too much panic.

No, the reason for the queue closure was the vandalism, as random pissing fits are generally a rare occurence.

Today, not a terribly busy day at first glance, saw the MF queue exceed two hours early in the morning.

So what helped kill the program? Well, they certainly read the 300 posts here, no question about that. But the real evidence was right at the park. People were lining up to ride at 1 p.m. in anticpation of the 4 p.m. general opening.

What about the station? Can we pick our own seats now!?
OnRide, we still can't wait for our seats, maybe next year or 2 years from now when the lines die down slightly. It is still the same old, fill in the seats unfortunatly.

:-(. Can someone give me some tips on making the front seat! I mean out of all the times I've ridden, I only made front like 9 or 10 times. Oh yeah, I know that SEEMS alot but out of how many times I've ridden it, I don't think so. SOMEONE GIMME SOME TIPS!
If you're not an idiot, TTR works very well. How hard is it for people to understand that you get a ticket before you ride?! I had no problems with TTR, and would welcome its return next year.
