TTR?

I have read this "TTR" thing several times. Curiosity has overcome me. What exactly does "TTR" mean?
TTR is "Ticket to ride" -- it is the Cedar Point name for "Fastpass".
It is also GM's new advertising campaign which was trade marked way before CP thought of the Ticketing system.

Dispatch Master, This is Transport one! I'm losing control, I'm losing control!
But CP's Ticket To Ride has a capital T on To, does GM's? Or doesn't it really matter?

I don't think it really matters because they're advertising two different things. I asked this last year about MF. There's some drink called Millennium Force, but since they are two completely different products, there isn't a problem. This is probably why CP can't say "Fast Pass." Disney probably has it trademarked. *** This post was edited by CP girl on 6/29/2000. ***
...Not to mention that it is anything but "fast"...

I can understand this TTr system but as others have stated it has its pros and cons.
If you are like many, you get to the park after 5 o clock and cant get a ticket because they are all gone.If you are like me,you get there when the park opens only to find out they are telling you when you can ride.If you look at both aspects, this system isnt benefiting anyone.WHY?
If you go with what the park wants you to do,you wait to ride and you are congesting areas of the park that other people who DONT ride coasters are going to.If you wait in line with no ttr then people who have a limited time in the park have to wait long lines. But even with this ttr, lines for lines are longer, people are getting aggravated and most of them wont return on a future visit which hurts in the long run.Long after Millennium Force dies down, the loyal CP visitor will be discouraged about coming back due to the bad experiences, and the ones who praised the system will be at another theme park riding that park's main attraction.Who benefits here? The patrons?NO...the park?Maybe ,but only for a short time.I am driving 8 hours to ride this thing and If I can only ride once it would be well worth it but I dont support this ttr system in a country where we are supposed to have freedom and democracy. If we want to wait, wait. If we dont..so be it!The only ones we are hurting are ourselves if we dont want to wait and now the only ones hurting are ourselves because we are paying THEIR admission price to be told what we can do in their park.If thats the case CP then dont charge a price and you can control whatever and whoever you want.
Amen Brother. I am very happy I got a SFO pass this year...Here I come Villain
