TTR?

What's TTR? I know that it is kinda a dumb question!
TTR stands for Ticket To Ride. It was a system put into place during the middle of last season, and it basically meant that you could get in line for a ticket to ride Millennium Force, and you would come back at the specified time and be able to get in line to ride it. Hope that helps.
TTR-Believe me, you wouldn't like it!

Let's just hope it doesn't come back this season.
Easily one of the worst decisions Cedar Point has made in years was to put that system in place last season.

TTR worked for me. I wouldn’t mind seeing it come back at all. They only use it on busy days anyway, for the most part, so it’s a moot point if you go during a slack part of the season.

Here are the two threads that were home to the bulk of the discussion on TTR. The first one is, I believe, the longest thread ever,(200 some posts), so don't be surprised if it takes long to load. The second is a continuation. TTR brought up a bunch of controversy, and was loved by some, despised by others. It did go through a few improvements though.

Please spare this forum from another 200+ post debate. (Not to mention a meg or two of space ;) )
Ok, I'm a little confused! Is the line for Millennium Force ALWAYS open, or do they close the line for a while, and just let the TTR people get on?
This is how I interpreted the system, At 9 AM, an hour before the rides started operating at 10, the line would be "open" and you would not need a ticket.

Now it gets tricky. When it was first implemented, After 10 AM, the line would then "close" and you would need a ticket. They would give out a certain amount of colored tickets in a short line right by the entrance. Whatever Color ticket you received told you what hour you could get in line, such as 3-4 PM. The time range of these tickets ran all the way up to when the park closed. Once the tickets were out, the ticket line would close and if you did not have a ticket, you would not ride that day.

Soon as they released that this type of system made for Some unhappy people they changed it to this, which I like better.

At 10 AM the line would "close" and they would start giving out colored tickets with hours up to 4 PM. Once they were out of Those tickets, no more were handed out. Then at 4 PM the queue would then open back up and you would not need a ticket.

Also you should consider what is meant by a "short line". The capacity of the TTR line was hardly any better than the capacity of the coaster when it was running at full capacity, meaning that what they ended up with instead of a long line in the queue was a long line on the Frontier Trail. That combined with two distinct large, unfriendly mobs at the ride entrance...one waiting to enter the ride queue, one trying to figure out the ticket system...
