TTDs breakdowns, A good thing?

I was just thinking the other day that TTD wouldn't be as popular of a ride if it didn't have the breakdowns. Obviously it is popular because of the records it holds, but if TTD didn't have its breakdowns the first season, most likely, other parks would use that hydraulic technology to make a better a ride than TTD. Also, since TTD is fairly seceptable to a breakdown more often than any other ride at CP, riders will get more of an experience because of the thought they might not be able to ride it later or the next time they go if it breaks down. Also, if anyone remebers, last year TTD was in the 20s on the golden ticket awards, but it is now in the top 10. That says alot about it to me. Just my two worthless one hundreths of an American dollar.
Didn't we just have a similar topic a couple of days ago that was closed for extreme stupidity? DRAGSTER IS FRUSTRATING FOR THE PARK GUESTS AND EMPLOYEES. DOWNTIME IS NOT A GOOD THING.
The breakdowns aren't good, but the way I see it, they're learning more about how to fix the system and how they can avoid these breakdowns on future rides.

As far as being more popular for breakdowns, I really, highly, doubt CP is seeing more ticket sales because TTD is breaking down. Most people don't even know the ride's name, much less the fact it's not uncommon that it breaks down.

I do agree with you about the "fear of breakdown" theory you've got there. I've always thought that waiting in lines is half of the experience of the ride... ever been to CP on like a September weekday? Often you can just walk right on some of the rides, and in a way it almost cheapens the experience...

Interesting post.
