TTD Videos

I was just over to cedarpoint.com and I saw the POV of TTD. I was absolutally awed by the ride. The bad thing is that I am on a 56k modem. It took me an hour to dl the whole video. After it d/l I wanted to save it but I couldnt because its an applet. That means every time I want to see it I have to wait a while and that bugs me. Is there any way soon that guidetothepoint.com could post the videos (with CP permission of course) so people could save them to thier hard drive for anytime enjoyment? I would really appreciate that and I am sure a lot of other people would too.

go to Virtualmidway.com and look at his videos. they rock.. and you can right click "save target as" to view them all the time..

I cant find the page with the videos. Could I have a link?

The videos at VM have been taken down, for the time being. The site has been getting hammered lately (nearly 40,000 hits May 1-4) and the bandwidth usage has been huge.

Have you been getting hit just as bad, Jeff?

You can also save the large Quicktime video off of the CP web site. It is well worth the hour iit took me to download IMO.

I tried today and could not right-click and save it. When did you save it off? Is this video available anywhere else?

If you go to tools -> Internet options in IE, then click settings in the temporary Internet files, then view files, sort the files by file type and scroll to the QuickTime movies. Find the one called tdd_pov something and drag and drop it to where ever you want to save it.

The movies are embedded in the page so they begin to play when the player has enough data to begin.

Well, the actual movie is located at the link below. So, you should just be able to right click and choose save as. I've had the most luck with download managers, not internet explorer's save option.

I downloaded the large POV and im getting the audio but no video. Its just a blank white window. any suggestions?

Make sure you have the most recent version of Quicktime installed.

I also have some low-quality (but faster download ;) ) movies up on my Media Day page.

DMKAZ, If you just right-click on the link that MF@WTer has posted up above on the board and select "Save Target As", that should allow you to download it fine.
