TTD Trains Get Shorter

The trains for TTD now appear to be only 3 cars long. That means a total of only 10 people per train.

I got stopped by the crane going across the Gemini midway.

I don't know if this is new but that is what I saw today.

The trains are still 4 cars long. I suspect and hope car 5 on all the trains are getting the theming reattached. Today the crane was at the hydraulic building, either taking parts out or putting parts in it via through the roof. (But you all probably know that by looking at the webcam). Also the launch track has tarps in front where they have been welding and working on the track before the grandstand section. The tarps are on the fence. They have added alot to the launch track, I don't exactly know what but I saw rideman at the park today and he can fill us in on his view. Also the kicker wheels were off on some of the launch track, just out of the station.

If they were adding the themeing back on the cars then why did they add another Que for both parts of the loading station? Face it, no themeing on the trains.

I didn't even look in the station. And are we so sure there are extra rails in the station. Heck in that topic I thought people said there were seats already in the last cars on the train. And I get to the park and see the last car on all the trains gone. I don't know if the theming will return, but based on what I have seen I will venture a little more on the theming coming back.

Yes, people have confirmed time and time and time again, that there is an extra row of rails in the station. And with the 2 seats in the back, where would you venture they put a little more themeing? Don't mean to sound rude, it's just I don't see where they could put anything.

Then I guess the theming is gone.

I'd be more then happy to be wrong, it's just at this point all signs point to no more themeing :-(

Yea, I was there when they had part of the station queue cut up on the floor. They rewelded it and it does have an extra row of for both the trains in the station. The back cars are probably being sent to switzerland to add the seats. Guess they couldn't resolve the problem with the theming.

BTW, Even though TTD was down throught my entire trip...I had one a hell of a time. As soon as i got on MF for the first time this year, All my worries went away about TTD not opening. I didnt really care anymore. I got lots and lots of pics which will be up tomorrow. I hope to get on it in august when i will be going out there again.

I would like to know a little more about the addition to the launch track.

Dave?

Okay, which would you rather have: A shorter wait, or tires on the back of the train?

I figured out (meaning I asked RideMan) that the line will be about an hour and 15 minutes shorter than it is now.

Is that right, RideMan?

A shorter wait. While the theming looked nice, I'd rather ride more.

than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I didn't take a really good look into the station yesterday, but could it be that the extra row of rails were there already for the purpose of the ride ops to stand when the trains are moved out?

Maybe I mis-counted but when I was at the park on Saturday (6/28) I only saw eight rows per train in the station. Which is what they started the season with, correct?

When I was there I counted nine. The very last row of each one (ninth row) was freshly welded and they even had duct tape holding the gate together. You could tell that they had just added it.

Same here. It's the ride everyone comes for, not the theming. Theming gives it atmosphere.

I thought that was what the smoke machine under the launch track was for...... :)

There is a space for the ride op to sit in the last row I thought.

To be honest, I would much rather have the trains hold more capacity than be themed. Guess what everyone, my stupid brother went and broke his femer (bone in your thigh) so I dont get to go to Cedar Point this year, life just sucks, doesn't it! Full story here.
If he doesn't have a full leg cast he can still go on most things. I called because i was supposed to get a cast(then they dicided I didn't for some reason) and they said if it didn't go over my knee, then I could go on all but I think 3 rides
