TTD Speedometer in 2003?

Oh, I thought they came off during a test run. Or at least that's what I had read/heard somewhere. I don't really remember where, though. That's usually only something you hear about happening in Japan or at Six Flags. It's a good thing nobody was hurt, who knows what kind of trouble that would have created.

The speedometer was added soon after opening day in 2003. It was later taken back off for some reason in June around the time of the major downtime that month. It was put back up soon after that once again.

It's funny how many things on Dragster have been removed, then put back on.......or removed period.

When the park opened in 2003, there was no christmas tree light, speedometer, or countdown clock on the tower. Then, when the tire flew off, they added two seats in place of the theming on the back of the train.
