TTD in Popular Science

Just got my issue of Popular Science today and was surprised to see a nice 2 page diagram of Dragster. It basically tells us the stuff we already know, and to talk more about the g forces of the ride, it says it pulls 1.5-1.75 on the launch and 4-4.5 g's on the pull ups. It also throws in the fact that roller coaster's aren't dangerous because they only pull 4 or 5 g's for a second or two, compared to the 20 g's you experience in a good sneeze.

I didn't get mine yet. Subscribers get theirs before stores most of the time.

This issue of PopSci will be on newsstands in a short while; yes, subscribers usually recieve their magazines before they arrive on newsstands.

Wouldn't that blow you back or something?

Well, when you sneeze your head violently goes forward to expel the 75-100mph sneeze...

I think if you jump down onto your couch you experience like 6 G's.

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of Dragster, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.

Got mine today. Very nice render of the track, and up the tower they have markings of other tall coasters.

If you really look at the track you can see that it doesn't have the twist on it.

Someone gave their copy to me at school today, it looks very cool. Anyone else notice that they didn't include S:TE on their list of the world's 5 tallest coasters? Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Golliath taller than Titan?

Titan is 145ft. http://www.rcdb.com/installationdetail742.htm

While Goliath is 135ft. http://www.rcdb.com/installationdetail615.htm

They both have a drop of 155ft. though.

That's why I thought Goliath was taller, the extra long drop. My bad.

Your off by 100 ft but whocares they are SFI coasters lol

You guys aren't missing anything really, the animation is awful... the track doesn't twist at all, and the top hat is taken like a "wall ride" on a skateboard. That and the drops are humpy...

Otherwise everything looks ok... but that track is just pathetic.

Yeah, the pictures suck compared to ones like on Badnitrus. Even the layout of SUF looks messed up.
