The problem would lie in the fact that there will, probably, be some "anti-war" protestors in the park as well. Surely, these people would create a bad experience for the Armed Forces Personnel. By way of verbal, or physical abuse. This may not be the kind of publicity Cedar Point wants.

Yeah. Anyone harassing the military in a park like Cedar Point on a military day would deserve to be taken up to the top of TTD and thrown off
I agree. They shouldnt be against are troops. Cedar Point wouldn't let that happen and i dont think they would have a day just for that. Just discount tickets.

Even if people are opposed to the war, they sure as hell don't harass the military.I don't know about anybody else, but harassing a military member wouldn't be on the top ten list of people to harass no mater where you are. They tend to be rather large people that can be pretty viscious when provoked. (speaking as an ex-military member myself)

My dad, who is a chaplain at Fort Story, Virginia, was able to get tickets for Worlds of Fun when the family went out west to visit my brother over in Fort Riley, Kansas. He just picked up tickets for most of the major parks in Florida for when they go visit grandma this summer.
As for Cedar Point, I can have him go and check if anyone is interested? I'd also be willing to call up the nearest MWR office or military outlet of Carlson Wagonlit. If he can get tickets for one Cedar Fair park, he SHOULD be able to get tickets for Cedar Point.
I don't know why he personally would need tickets, he's got my four free tickets at his disposal :).
Response to Lee: I do find it a lil' unfair that only the active duty member of a family can get the discount ticket from Cedar Point ticket offices. Though, when you get tickets from a MWR or Carlson Wagonlit office you can get them for the active duty person as well as their family members.
UPDATE: I was browsing through the MWR webstite (http://www.armymwr.com/) and located their tickets page. Apparently your local office carries tickets for local attractions and has the ability to order tickets for attractions throughout the United States. Still waiting for it to turn daylight so I can give them a call and get the official word. I'll try to have an answer sometime today :)!
