Trip Tips

Hey, this is my first official post and I was wondering if you guys or gals had any tips for visiting the park. i.e. order for riding coasters, where to eat, etc. Thanks so much!

Well, I'm going there tomorrow and I'm only staying for one day.

Get there early....run to the back of the park and work your way back to the front. I would recommend SkyHawk first in the back. Lines get killer later, but its a walk-on in the AM. And then you can go to Mavvy-boy

Rather than running toward the back, park in the back and you'll not only avoid a lot of the crowd in the park, but in the parking lot as well. After you pass the toll gate, turn your left turn signal on to indicate to the lot attendant that you're headed toward the back of the park, and they'll wave you by. Follow the road all the way back, and you'll find a lot with a much shorter car-to-gate distance.

You'll have to look a minute for the gate, walk through the area by soak City and the go karts. It kind of winds around a bit after you cross under Magnum before you actually get to the gate.

I come bearing tips for food!

For lunch and possibly dinner, don't eat at the normal lunch/dinner times, ie noon for lunch, or like 5 p.m. for dinner. Ride some rides around this time, or catch an early show.

Or, if you pack your food, and you leave it in your car, don't forget a handstamp as you leave to go to your car.

Try to ride the big rides in the early morning..right when you get there or right when you leave because the lines will be big for them throughout the day...like MF, TTD, Maverick.

Not a whole lot has changed though. On the coaster list, Dragster and Maverick have been added, and Freeway has been removed. Still use the same back to front logic, and hit those 2 newest first (starting with Maverick).
