Trip Help

Hi! I am planning on visiting on Thursday July 30. I know that no one will know for sure, but what do people think crowds will be like. Also, is the ride and refresh ticket worth it? Does it include water? Also, what's a good ride for a first timer to Cedar Point to ride? Thanks!

It will be busy. I'd expect wait times for the major coasters to be between 1 and 2 hours each. I never get the ride and refresh because small cups of water are free everywhere, and I don't drink soda anyway. Honestly, if you have to drink soda, it might be worth it to buy. But drinking water for one day, where I'm sure you will be dehydrated is probably a good idea anyway. How old is the first timer? I always start people off on Maverick because imo, everything else is more tame so you get the "worst" one out of the way hahaha.

I'd go right when the park opens and make your way to the back of the park which will be empty. Maybe even start on Iron Dragon and work your way up. Best chances for rides with smaller lines will be early morning and closing, have fun!

Thursday in July? If the weather is good, heavy, but not insane crowds. If it is raining, crowds will be lighter.

My vote for 1st time coaster at CP is Blue Streak, followed by Gemini.

Be sure to stay after 6pm. Crowds thin out a lot and the park is beautiful at night.
