It has been a while, about four years, since we've been able to make the trip to Cedar Point. I was pregnant 9 of those months, and now our son is 2 1/2, and we are long overdue for some Millennium Force and Magnum! We had initially wanted to come during the first weekend of Halloweekends, as we love all things Halloween. But due to some issues with friends, we had to change that. The next possible time we could come would be Columbus Day weekend. And I dont want to do that! Anyway, we've decided on just coming the last week of August, or first week of September, Thursday-Sunday, going to the park Friday, Saturday, and possible thursday evening when we get there. We're from Eastern Kentucky, so its about a 7 hour drive. My question is which of these weeks would you think would be best, crowd wise? We've never been at this time of year at all, and I know its unpredictable to say how many will be there. But if it were you, which would you choose? We're leaning towards the last week of August. Thanks, and I cannot wait to get back to the Point. Its been far, far too long!!

Things are beginning to wind down around that time. Looking at the calendar, I see shorter hours through the week, 10:00 on weekends.
Many Ohio schools are back in by then, but Michigan is not until after Labor Day. (it's a law or something) The week before Labor Day is traditionally, unofficially, "Michigan Week" and there are many visitors from there, and they often stay for a couple days. The hotels can be busy-ish around then, too.
In short, I'd say either week would be good, especially your weekdays.
