Just found out today that the Trio of Terror is CANCELLED for this coming Halloweekends despite record breaking attendance numbers last season. Doesn't make much sense, does it??
Sounds pretty crazy, but 100% true.
If you are a fan, let Cedar Point now what a mistake it is to get rid of the ONLY real art in the park.
So no trio of terror, and no monsters of rock show. Not good news for me.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
I'm not a show person so I really don't care. The only way it will affect me is that the people who do like shows will have nothing to do which will put more people in line.

I just hope this means another show is going in at the Palace theater. The lack of a real show there this summer has been a disappointment.
However, given what is showing there now I doubt it.
Or Starlight cut into their budget, could be that too.
Although, at least they are reacting to the price cuts in the best possible way. They are cutting the quantity of their shows, instead of their quality. Got Country and Signed Sealed Delivered are good shows.
I am still bummed about them taking out the band in the red garter.
I checked out the new show in the red garter this year, and it was horrid compaired to years past with the bands. Red garter has lost a lot of money this year from me. I miss grabbing a beer and watching the band.
It seems like the whole park is cutting budget, most noted are the live E and food departments.

Did it ever occur to anyone that they couldn't book the talent? I wouldn't be surprised if it was a budget issue, but I wouldn't jump to conclusions either.

This is horrible news. I loved the trio of terror, although I liked it more in the glass blowing theater. It was one of the very few performances that i could count on being excellent year after year.
Don't call me a "scare actor", I'm a Screamster
If the talent is booked somewhere else I would sure like to know where they will be. Trio of Terror was a must see for holloweekends for me.
Maybe they are trying to make the line up fresh. New shows could be a good thing.
Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.
I am not big on those haunted houses. I have been to the one in Disaster Transport, it wasn't really good and CarnEvil. THe one by the Wave Swinger looks cool. I really can't believe that they would take down this house because it was really popular.
