Trims Before Helix On Gemini?

OK, maybe I was asleep last season, or my entire life that mater but I thought there were Trims before the final helix on Gemini..

They are gone now if there were any.
You were not asleep... there were definitely trims in the years before (unless I myself was asleep). Those helixes were INTENSE to say the least on OD... especially b/c I wasn't really expecting it the first time.

I'm pretty sure those trims are still there, but on Opening Day, Gemini was, for some unknown reason, operating with NO trims all day long. I don't know if this is because it was windy, because they were only running four trains, or because they just felt like running it wide open. :)

I know I always liked Gemini, but I like it even better when it runs the way it ran on Sunday!

I'm pretty sure there were still there.. but.. if you notice as you're on the platform.. There is a sign above the ride up.. now from the train side all you can basically see is a light.. the other side.. ride-op side.. says TRIM BRAKES OFF when it is lit..

The lights were on all day Sunday and Monday...

MF 2001 - Double digits already.. and that's only the second day. :)

Trims are still there. I asked myself the same question Sunday. I had to look twice to make sure!:)

A technical correction for Red Garter Rob...

The sign actually says something like, "KCART SEKARB MIRT NEPO" (if you're reading it from the platform :) ) or "TRACK TRIM BRAKES OPEN" if you're in the operator's tower.

The sign must be there for the purpose of clubbing the operator over the head (literally) with the reminder that the trims are open, as there is a separate amber indicator lamp on the wall right below the "lift running" indicator.

(Edit: I forgot there are three lines on the sign.)

the gemini had trims but they must have had a technical difficulty becuase the same thing happened on magnum at the pretzal turn

HAHAHAH Thanks Dave.. I couldn't remember the whole sign.. hehehe

Yeah it does seem that around the time of Gemini Arrow was pretty much starting to idiot-proof (no dig at the operators trust me) thier rides...

Brakes were open Tuesday as well. I assumed it was due to the one train operation all day. It sure make the ride better
*Giving a pat on the back to Shivering Tim* I know how you feel. A walk on for MF? I'm about ready to walk from FL to OH so I don't miss all of this! ;)

Come to think of it, noticed the trims on Sunday. Guess since I was riding backwards I did not notice.

Even though I missed what will probably be known as "Brakeless Sunday" in CP legend, it was for a good reason. It was a tough decision, but the ACE Spring Con at SFStL and SDC won over CP, which I'll be at more than I care to admit this season. For those that care, Wildfire and The Boss are wonderful rides and was probably worth sacrificing Opening Day. Thanks for the pat on the back anyway :)

MF 2001 - Tell ya when I hit triple digits....
Yes, trims before helix were on today. One train operation this evening. Trims at the third turn were wide open, since only one train. That made for a delightfully wicked turn. Good rides on Gemini this season, so far!

Can you really ride Gemini 100 times in one day? I say it CAN and WILL be done! Good luck to all!
I thought before thye were right before the helix on the flat run, and they would hit right as you entered. I don't remember them being on the downside of the final hop where they are as of now.
