trim brake bracket?

Ok, I was playing RCT2 and remembered this from opening day. It may be just me and I never noticed it before, but I know that I saw brackets on either side of the track after the return from the island, right before entering the tunnel. Are these new? I know there has always been a set right by the queue, but I don't remember these from before. I'm hoping somebody says I'm crazy and just missed them every year before this. And what could these be for besides trims?

You are crazy! ;) They have been there and there is also one right after the bunny hop. I don't see them ever actualy installing a trim becuase when it's cold a train needs all the speed in the world to make it around, and even when it's at it's fastest it still is the perfect speed.
There are brackets installed throughout the ride, keep your eyes peeled.

They aren't installed "throughout the ride," they're installed in exactly the two places mentioned. No more, no less.

Now, can you find the places where the removable rails sit for train extraction on a rollback?

Those are my two gueses... In the first photo, before the assent into the "Island Hop", and in the second photo, the area immediately after the tunnel, and before the rise into the 180 ft. hill.

Wow, don't know how I ever missed those brackets before. Oh well, thanks for the confirmation, all. And the removable track, I can honestly say I have no idea. :)

I think I remember seeing them at the base of the first drop, after the first tunnel, before the bunny hop back from the island, and right before the last overbank. Wow, I've ridden that too many times.
