Hey this is a question for any of those who know the Cleveland area pretty well. I'm planning to fly up north to go to Cedar Point for a few days and the closest airport to Sandusky is the Hopkins airport in Cleveland. Im only 20 so i wont be able to rent a car so I was wondering if any of you can give me advice on the easiest way to get to Cedar Point saving the most money I can. I appreciate all the help you can give me.

Make friends with locals. You'll either pay a FORTUNE in taxi fare (if any would be willing to go that far) or you'll have to rent a car.
There are shuttle services in Sandusky that will take you to and from the airport. You're looking at about $60 each way. You can also take the rapid into Cleveland to catch Amtrak or Greyhound, but the schedules aren't very friendly.
Neither are the people in and around the train station. But stop at Moe's around the corner if you're there. Great food, even though it's a dump.

Thank you so much for the advice i think that shuttle service sounds like the best idea. I needed to escape to Cedar Point one last time and you all have been a big help answering all my questions. Hope to see ya'll on the 20th!!!

When i say one last time i just mean for the season. I live all the way down in Florida and find it really hard to make it to Cedar Point whenever i try to go. It is definitly worth every mile after that first ride on Dragster. If i could i would live in Sandusky....

Thanks for clearing that up. I thought you were going to shove a screwdriver in your eye, or something.

For the shuttle services, how do we contact them? Or do they just go back and forth from the airport? Is there a website or a phone number?

Try tomscruz.com/rates.aspx. I have no experience outside of building their web site, but that's at least a place where you can start looking.
I've said it before, it may sound silly to get a towncar to take you from the airport to Sandusky, but I don't know of any other reasonable options for those unable to rent a car.

Dont go to cleveland hopkins airport.. go to toledo... you can get a cheap flight easy in and out and its the same distance maybe a few miles closer than cleveland and NO traffic.... i fly all of the time and im 20 min from cleve 1 hour from toledo but i drive to toledo all of the time
What exactly is a towncar? Is it like a limo?

Its called Toledo express airport they have a website i dont know the link though its toledoexpress.com you maybe can get a bus from there never thought that out though
Greyhound from Cleveland to Sandusky is 30 bucks round trip... not to bad. They'll get you there at 8:30ish am, and leave late evening last time I looked.
Toledo may be a cheaper option for a few specific flights, but Cleveland overall will likely get you a better price. I checked three random flights from Orlando, Fort Meyers and Tampa at Travelocity, and the Cleveland flights were all cheaper. Not to mention that Hopkins is almost 20 miles closer to Cedar Point.
Well, it looks like I'm taking the train from the airport to downtown, then the Greyhound to Rt 2 and 250, then walking to the Holiday Inn Express. And all that is after 3 flights in the morning.
Oh, Cedar Point, the things I do to get to you...
