Actually, you should be careful in general. Not just around cops...I've been:
Hit by a drunk driver (twice)
Rear ended by some idjit who lost control doing 80 in a honda civic
Clipped in the front by someone who refused to use signals
Blown a tire at 71mph on I-75
Dropped a drive shaft in a mustang
Ran over a Muffler and blown 3 tires.
Hit a dead deer in the middle of I-75 causing over 2k worth of damage to my girls new car.Stupid crap like that can happen to anyone... Just be careful in general.
Dude,
Please post when you are coming to CP so I can stay home! You have some serious BAD KARMA! You must have really been bad in a previous life.

Ralph, you make a great point about Rt. 2 not being a straight line like the turnpike is, therefore it keeps you more awake and on your toes. Plus its much funnier to drive, I hate driving straight all day with no scenery. Rt. 2 has a nuclear power plant, camp perry, Edison Bridge, Crane Creek, etc.

Not that I heard of.
However, a section of Route 2 near Bono, Ohio (West of Port Clinton) was closed this weekend for repair. The road was being repaved, widened and rumble strips being added. The re-routing took you down Route 163 (Lake Erie Circle Tour..and the "prettiest Sunday drive" route I think!!) through Port Clinton and then back to Rte 2 East.
It was scheduled to re-open mid-morning today.
I drove up to CP yesterday morning (Sunday June 18th) at about 8:30am on Route 2 and was the only car on the road for miles...it was perfect. Didn't even get slightly traffick-y until I actually hit 250.
This afternoon, 12:30pm'ish, there was a lot of semi/18 wheeler traffic and the area around Camp Perry tends to get very treacherous.
