Travel Insurance

Is a trip to Cedar Point worth paying for travel insurance? I would have never thought they'd lose a critical service and have to close. Now anyone who's trip was ruined, well let's say they insured their trip. Well then they'd be refunded for their losses. The real question, is it worth it to purchase insurance on your trip?

Myself I would not buy it. 2 1/4 hrs away from the park. Usual trip is 2 nights. Usually have the Platinum Pass but not this year. Will only be going up once. The resort guest are getting reimbursed as I understand. But if you'd payed for insurance your gas costs would be reimbursed to you as well as any other losses. I would say our average trip costs about $550. If your coming from Nebraska or Japan I would buy the insurance.

Is your trip worth insuring?

I only live an hour away and have the passes so for me definitely no. If I had gone today(we almost did) I would be out about $15 in gas and I would have to put the stuffin my cooler back in the fridge.
