Travel Channel Programming 8-6-2008

For those with access, there is a series of programs on the Travel Channel today dealing with theme parks. Dollywood and Disney are featured in dedicated shows, but the best will most likely be "Extreme Terror Rides" at 9PM (ET).

Not much information on the website as to what made the "extreme" list - but TTD is a likely candidate!

There are actually several shows on today, starting at 2pm with a couple of Disney-related shows, and continuing with shows on Dollywood, Ultimate Thrill, Waterparks, more Disney, and then at 9pm the aforementioned Extreme show airs.

Darn it. I forgot to set my DVR for all of this. Or at least the Disney and Ultimate thrill shows.

Plus I have golf tonight. But I should be home in time to catch the new show. Then I'll just have to hope TC replays the others late night.

If you happen to have DirecTV, you could set your DVR to record from their web site.

I think ATT U-Verse has it too.

What I need to get is a slingbox.

I have one. It's very nice. Surprisingly, I find myself using it while at home more than anything.

The one on right now Ultimate Thrill: Frightning which features some ride from Cedar Point is probally from early 2003. The one on later today at 9pm ET Extreme Terror Rides is brand new this year.

I must be the only one that uses MythTV. Although my hardware is broke (I don't give a crap to fix it), when it worked I could login from work and add stuff to the schedule through a webpage.
