Transient Slips

Quite a ways out, but I was just wondering who here has done the Point by boat. And how readily are the transient slips available on a weekend (Fri. eve. in particular). I plan on trying it this year and a friend of mine said he tried it about 6-7 years ago and no slips available. I have a rather large boat and fuel is not cheap just trying to avoid a 600$ blunder

Thanks,

Chris Craft Dave

From what I've seen, the transient docks do fill up fast, but the marina takes reservations. So, just like with the hotels, call as early as you can. The number is 888-CPDOCKS.

Last year a 30' dock was $50 per night, a 40' dock was $70 per night and a 50' dock was $88 per night. All of the docks have shore power, the larger ones have both 125 and 250 volt power.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Thanks Pete, how far in advance can you reserve a slip? Is it just like the hotels or is there a time limit, also since i would be coming in about dinner time on a Friday would the slips be starting to empty out? Once again thanks for your help thus far.

Hi David, as far as I know the marina slips are like the hotels. You can book them far in advance, though your best bet is to call the 888-CPDOCKS number and find out how far in advance you can book.

As far as Friday, I've noticed that many people do as you have planned. They tend to arrive Friday afternoon to stay for the weekend, so the slips are filling up rather than emptying out.
