Trains moving faster?

V Dogg, I have not yet seen them operate all 6 trains at once.

They ran all six on one of the earlier Friday nights, but believe it or not, with the way the trains were moving at the time, six was worse than five since they had to wait for the last train to clear a block outside of the unload station before they could launch the next train. If the trains in load/unload/hold were moving at the same time (or close to it) and not one after the other, this would not be the case.

I've yet to see the mode where they move at the same time/faster, etc so I'm not sure if the improvements there are enough so that running six would be advantageous or not.

Yes with the trains moving in the fast mode (dry mode), we can run six, but running six in fast is about the same as running five in slow. I know that management does want to run six trains, and we have been testing with it, but whether or not we will actually operate normally with six trains everyday eventually, I'm not sure about.

Maybe they will move the blocks in the off-season so there is not a wait for the train to clear.

And how exactly do you propose to do that? It's not like you can just throw more drive wheels and brakes on there.

Also.. No matter how fast the loading process is for this ride, I'm sure that they've never had a problem with not having 2 unloaded trains ready to pull into the station right after two were sent out into the launch pad. If this were a problem, that would then call for an extra train. That sixth train would just be sitting empty on the track no matter where the blocks are. There is no need for it.

I finally got a chance to watch the cams tonight for the past hour, and on the cleveland cam, the trains (not knowing how many are running 5 or 6) have had an average interval of about 42 seconds steadily. Thats pretty good so, :)congrats to the crew.:)
Surprised with your calculations since I was there just last weekend and they were running 60 to 70 seconds per interval - I can only hope for the day they run at 42 consistently.

Tom

You watched the webcams for an hour? I thought I had no life.

Thanks for contributing to the conversationraptor...and i think you guys are juicing the time between intervals...now remember, there are not two 4's, 5's or 37's

it goes; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5..........36, 37, 38.
dont be adding numbers to the number line..how dare you all.=)

I had nothing else to do last night so I watched the cams. Do you have something wrong with that?????

Sorry if my timing was off, but the trains were launching at an somewhat constant interval of 40-47 seconds during the hour in which I was watching with only about three or four 50 second intervals!

By the way, looking at the webcams, where the heck did the dragster go???

"Welcome back riders, how was your ride?"

Dragster was designed to launch a train every 30 seconds. The brake run however (esp. when it's cold outside or trains are not fully loaded) take much longer than that to get through the brakes. Sometimes up to 1 minute. In five train operation, usually we are waiting for the second unload train to get cleared. This is what takes so long.
