We'll I'm sure the first week we'll have a lot of roll backs until the trains are used to running again. They've been sitting all winter.

Yeah even in season when they fire them up the first time they rollback a few times. Rollbacks now are very likely...wish I was riding now, never got a rollback!!

That doesn't look convincing to me, the platform at the crown extends about that much.

I promise ya I saw the train launc on the live video (cleveland.coms) feed yesterday around 3:30. It made it all the way to the top and rolled back. I waited for 5-10mins, but another train was not launched.

Yea, Trust Geocities for your hosting....

Anyway, Here is is...The pic of the launch that Failed. Think this is convincing enough.

http://www.xtremecoasters.com/webcam/testing.JPG

That train got stopped about half of the way down, It never even made it up to the tower. Also, Another test ran shortly after...The train didnt even come close to the top. Maybe about 100 feet short of the crest. By the looks of it, Testing isnt going that great so far.

I don't know if that's necessarily true. For all we know they are just "building up" to full launches like they did before last year. That would probably be the case anyway if all this supposed major work with the hydraulics actually did occur.

Matt is right. The work that was rumored to happen would mean that they would have to warm up the motor to start launching the trains at full speed. There's nothing I can back this up on but it seems if they're testing it that slow 9 days before the ride opens for the season they must be running behind a little. Or maybe they're test the emergency stop that stops the train mid launch.

Big_D- If the cedar point cam updates every minute you must have been lucky to get it with all the lights on.

It's amazing the amount of information you can get from a web cam.

When did the web cams start offering information on testing progress and how well things are going? Does Monty Jasper break into coverage every few minutes with a testing update?

It's odd, really. In this thread (under his primary username), Dan seemed to like me - or at least my site.
