The park looks beautiful at night as it is. Be satisfied.

Those who are interested in this thing may want to look at this company: Visual Terrain.

There is a little write up about Raptor.

Agreed. Atleast they don't have "track lighting" all over the park. ;)

The up and coming thing in lighting is LED's. They require a fraction of the power of a regular incandesent lamp, give off as much or more lumens and have a life span considerably longer. They are a slightly more expensive per unit than a regular lamp, but in the long run are a much better value. Right now they are not interchangable with some lighting setups, but this is changing almost weekly.

Best use of LEDs ever: KY Rumbler's headlights.

If you weren't at Rumblefest last night you have no idea how much the awesome is dripping off of that train.

Best LED light show ever. This was shown on a show on the science channel called "Beyond Tommorrow".

Most of the effects are LED. Add in a laser show, music and fireworks...best show on the planet.

A lot can be done with LED's

BTW...did they fix PT's lights or are they still stuck?

When I was there last night they had the rainbow top going on PT... I've never actually been there at night before so I don't know if that was right or not.

PT's lights are supposed to slowly cycle. All of the lights including the ones closer to the base used to cycle slowly through the colors. It is working about 1/2 way right. Maintenance has thier hands full right now to have to worry about lights. Intamin ingenuity is very difficult to maintain.
