Tower really starting to take shape

Unless the element is much higher on the tower I would rule out any other elements, there really isn't any beams or joints set up to hold track other than the front side of the structure.
Maybe they haven't added those pieces to the tower yet, crash.

I've heard of a overbanked being thread on part of the tower CP Bound... is that what you were thinking too?

After looking at the new pictures at www.vitualmidway.com they have two skywalks up, a thrid incomplete one, and the towers are almost ready to put the foruth up. I think they still need some other parts before they can finsih it up, as well as an extention for the crane.

I wonder how many skywalk there are going to be, and how tall the supports will be. As well ast how high the track will be when they get put up.I wonder too much. :)

I saw pieces for catwalks lying around everywhere today - some in Area 51, some in the Soak City lot... I'm thinking we'll see at least 3 or 4 and maybe even 5 catwalks total.

Zero-G, I do think that an overbank will be on the tower. That way, it is just one less tower to be built. It conserves space and money.

but what are those catwalks for? you cant evacuate a train if it stalls on a vertical section (plus it would be really hard for a train to stall on a vertical section anyway) so that leaves mechanics. but why would the mechanics need such elaborate catwalks. WT only has a small "ladder" going up the spine of the track so why not have a small ladder going up a support?

Its Intamin, you have to have somewhere to stand while you weld.;)

"Wheres the Callahan factory?!?!?"

I bet the catwalk was put in so Jeff would be able to get some awesome construction photos for us after the park closes for the season
For morning inspections, it will be much easier to visually check things a few feet away versus 300 feet away from the ground...

A 400 foot tall ladder would be one helluva climb up too...
