Tornado's at CP

Just to let everyone who doesn't live in Ohio know....

80 MPH + Tornados will be ripping through the state within hours. Within about an hour Sandusky will see rain, lighting, and possibly a tornado. How would the rides do? We can only hope there will be just strong storms, and no tornado, but you never know.

Columbus should be affected soon, too...that's where I am....Jeez it's getting dark here......I'll be heading down to the basement soon!

See you!

Well not to be sarcastic but considering Tornadoes and Severe weather is no stranger to CP's penisula the Coasters should DO OK! I mean Blue Streak is still there and has been through MANY a Storms and tornadoes since the 60's...I'm sure you have nothing to worry about pezmanguy...;) Proper engineering will intervene!

The water surrounding CP tends to stop tornados in the area. The combination of the humidity and winds changes tend to cause tornados to stay away from bodies of water once they have touched down.

Now water spouts?!?!?! We all know that's a different story ;)

Well, a tornado was actually just spotted, about 5 counties away from cedar Point, we should find out within the next hour or so if Cedar Point gets hit!
I live in Marblehead, Ohio, in Ottawa County.  It's like right across the bay from CP.  I'm worried also about the tornado watches/warnings.  There is a strong storm with hail and a tornado heading for us in a hour or so.  My parents and I already have our stuff packed just in case of a tornado.  I live in a mobile home (hey...I'm trailer trash) LOL!  ;)

Don't forget what took down all those lovely trees that the Mine Ride used to go around. Don't remember when that was but I guess it was 12-15 years ago.

I wouldn't be worried about the rides, but perhaps a bad storm would mean bad things for the Halloweekends props and maybe some trees.

Update about Marblehead!  There were no tornados here, thank God! But one thing scared the crap outta all of us here in town.  I was laying in bed just about to fall asleep and all of a sudden, the whole sky lit up a bright pink color...I saw it through my blinds.  Then a couple seconds later...CRACK-KA-BOOM!!!!!!!!!  I tell ya what, it literally shook my bed and the house!  One heck of a thunder boom! LOL!

There were several touchdowns around where I live. One of our towns is uncannily the victim as usually...Kendalville. It completely destroyed several buildings. When ever there is severe weather, I swear that a Tornado Warning is declared for Koskiosko county. It never fails.

What's odd is we had a severs thunderstorm waning here, yet I did not see any lightning. It's amazing how fast storm's die down after the heating power of the sun goes away.
