Top thrill wind shutdown conditions

I come to the point about once a year and the operation of TT is always a concern. It seems to be shut down in windy conditions and I was wondering if any point buffs out there know at what wind speeds it will normally shut down. the weekend forecast predicts a 12-19mph range which is a decent wind.

It will run fine in that wind.

Here's a link to some info in an old thread. It references some info that was once on Wikipedia but has since been removed. It may or may not be accurate.

If I recall from last year working Skyride and TTD, I'm almost positive TTD and Skyride don't run in winds higher than 25mph or around there. But, if you don't see Skyride running, don't take that as a sign as TTD being shutdown. Another tip, just don't ask an employee if they know if a certain ride is open :) They're not gonna know unless its TTD's crew. I'm hoping the weather holds up for your trip this weekend

Don't forget, the wind speed forecasted is at ground level. The winds at the top of TTD are much higher.

The information on Dragster is correct with one exception. At 35mph it does not cause an e-stop. I causes the ride to drop out of Automatic mode and wait for the winds to slow down until you can re-enter Auto and continue to launch.

Not going into an e-stop allows the operators to move the trains around in manual to evacuate people.
