Quote from a Corkscrew ride op, "And Dragster is down again"
This one is definitely my favorite:

2012 - Magnum XL 200 Crew
That's a good video, but features a POV shot that isn't allowed at CP. I find it odd how people can risk there camera, let only it slipping out of their hand and possibly hurting someone.

You know Gomez, I was going to say something along those lines but held it back. 2 things bug me though, do you really think anyone wants to get hit with a camera dropped from 420 ft, and how can they get a cam on the ride in the first place. Not like they can hold it!
From what I recall, the person who made the video uses a Mini Cam that can shoot high quality digital film, and then be transfered to the actual camera itself. I believe its only about the size of some rolled up quarters...
But don't quote me on that, lol.

Yea, I took onrides for a few months at various places then stopped just because. I had a foolproof way of attaching it to my wrist (via two cords, just incase one broke but that would mean the cord actually needed to be stressed, which it wasnt).
Frankly, CP's policies are ridiculous. Why cant you put stuff in jeans pockets? I have had many, many items fall out of cargo pockets. CP flat out failed to even look at the way Cargo pockets sit. The only reliable type would be ones with zippers. Velcro and buttons still allow for things to fall out.
Especially since your legs angle in an upward position meaning the top of the pocket angles down...good job on that one. It also loosens the pocket and thus anything inside can move around freely and in most cases, Ive lost tons of stuff just sitting still. Money, golf items, anything small easily can fall out.
However, Ive never had anything fall out of the hands pocket. Why? Well the actual pocket top is crushed when you sit down. Looking at my jeans right now Im wearing, the object would have to somehow make its way out (highly doubtful) and actually go upwards against gravity to come out.
That rule just irks me. They completely didnt even test the idea before they came up with it. Im suprised no one has lost anything (though I did lose a few coins on Dragster - tough luck) through cargos though Im sure some have. I think its just false feeling of security really. You would be much safer with items in your hand pockets (especially ones that fill the pocket more and create more friction) than in your loose, baggy cargos.
Thats just my theory though. I am split on whether cameras should be allowed. With proper securing measures, its perfectly safe. But, you cant trust every average joe out there who thinks it would be cool to take his camera on the ride. Thats what ices the rule really. You cant trust anyone, so dont give them any room.
^Back in the day of TTD's awesome train themeing.
