Top 10 rides (napha)

I was sitting around watching the top 10 rides on discovery channel and it was pretty old, I was wondering how often napha select a new list, is it ever few years or what?

Any help would be great thanks.

The way I put it Six Flags needs more parks to keep up with the one and only Cedar Point :)

I think that they vote on a new top ten every year. As far as how old that show was, consider that they listed Cedar Point as having only 13 coasters. So the show is probably from 1999, and was first broadcast in 2000.

I remember when that came out. People on the boards said that NAPHA was on crack because they put Magnum at number two and put a coaster that couldn't even compete at number 1. it was a good laugh

I remember thinking at the time that they were nuts to put Steel Phantom in that list. What a piece of junk that ride was. Amazing how much better that Phantom's Revenge is.

DELETED! What time does the water show start?

SP was the #1 steel, if I remember correctly. I heartily disagreed with that decision, bias withstanding, because it was just an overgrown Arrow looper. PR is ten times better.

KPTM

Magnum was the number 1 steel on the show.

3 TTD rides in 2 hours!

I don't know if it deserves to make anyone's top-anything list, but Steel Phantom scared the bejeezus out of me when I rode it. I still haven't made it back to Kennywood since they redid the thing, and really ought to soon.

The thing that struck me about the show was how much different the park looks now than it did when that footage was taken, only 4-5 years ago. No lighthouse point. No "new half" of Soak City. Breakers a shadow of its current self. And that's just what you could see by Magnum---I'm sure others caught more.

Yes i did see more when they were showing Magnum there was construction right next to magnum I havnt been to soak city (because the park keeps me busy and people say its not that great but i will find out soon enough) but the contruction was next the the first bunny hill going back to station anyone have any good pictures of the park from back then?

The show that was on last night had Magnum as #2 and Raptor was #6

Count me in the Soak City fan club. My wife and kids dragged me in the first time, and I enjoyed it enough to buy combo passes this year. You can get completely soaking wet on a hot day.

If you have little kids, the water park is both more interactive and less structured than the ride park.
